I made a map of all Bob's concerts in Germany (including the 2017 ones). As I can't upload a readable version here, I had to use sendspace.

Yeah, Cool. Maybe these guys from today's front page can feed it to their cadre to extend beyond UK.

Köln is the 4th biggest Germany city. He didn't perform Köln since 2000 because there are other venues nearby (Oberhausen, Düsseldorf etc).

Hm, I was surprised to learn that there were not more than three concerts in Köln. Not that I could not have known this, but I was not really aware of the small number.

But at least I've been to all of them. Thinking of this, the same applies to Bamberg, Bielefeld, Bonn, Bremen, Erfurt, Essen, Flensburg, Freiburg, Gelsenkirchen, Saarbrücken, Schwäbisch Gmünd, Wetzlar, Worms and hopefully Lingen, too.

Simply due to logistics. When Dylan was still playing 10,000 seaters, there simply was no (indoor) venue of that size in Cologne - Sporthalle was smaller than similiar venues in nearby cities like Dortmund and Essen) and by the time they had build the 18,000 seat KölnArena in 1996 (which Dylan played with 7,000 people in attandence once in 2000), he was simply not drawing that many people anymore. He has also has avoided the entire Rhein-Ruhr area on quite a number of his Summer outdoor tours often choosing more scenic cities/venues.

Speaking of Cologne 2000: Who was the German girl-singer with the guitar on stage playing along during Like A Rolling Stone?
She must have been quite well-known in those days.
Is she still famous in Germany?

She didn't play anything (her guitar wasn't even plugged it/connected to any kind of PA, microphone etc.).
Has she even been famous? I don't think to. To be she seemed rather like somebody's most recent pick up… (band member, roadie?)

I remember a review of the show with an interview of the guitar-girl. She was a nurse from cologne who was invited backstage before the show together with her friend. If my memory serves me right she was not able to play guitar at all. Just got the guitar put into her hands from a bandmember and then joined the band on stage for one song.

Yes, I remember that review too... 2000 was also the year when they separated a section in front of the stage and "invited" (i.e. picked) individual people to stand there up front - mainly young, good looking women. One of the strangest aspects of the NET I can remember. Inviting the blonde girl in Köln to join the band on stage was just one step further...

I've been at that show in Köln. The girl's appearance on stage was a strange highlight of a very strange show (total mess during the acoustic set, kind of 91 revisited – listen to Bob strumming his guitar in anger during T-Man. Seemed to me that he couldn't hear himself or the guitar was out of tune. The show improved very much when he decided to put his acousic guitar aside. In fact he held it by its neck while he did a great performance of Gates of Eden - I'm still looking for a photo of this. Country Pie was a kind of mess again. But after that the became great)

P.S.: hey, thinman2, why don't you tell us about the secret gigs at Bochum that are missing on the map?

I don't recall the acoustic set to be particulary bad? He used to mess up "Times" in #2 every night anyway, Alright Ma was pretty good in Köln, Tangled was ok, Mr T was a bad one, that's true. But "Gates" really rates among the best Dylan-Moments I witnessed in person... And after that we got a fine (the first in Europe?) Things Have Changed, Down Along The Cove (out of the blue), Grain of Sand, followed by the first rearranged Cold Irons Bound. Great stuff!

And Bochum? Well. Looking into my crystal ball again I see this:

4/1/17 Stockholm, Sweden - Stockholm Waterfront
4/2/17 Stockholm, Sweden - Stockholm Waterfront
4/4/17 Oslo, Norway - Spektrum
4/6/17 Copenhagen, Denmark - Opera House
4/7/17 Copenhagen, Denmark - Opera House
4/9/17 Lund, Sweden - Sparbanken Skåne Arena
4/11/17 Hamburg, Germany - Barclaycard Arena
4/12/17 Lingen, Germany - Emslandhallen
4/13/17 Düsseldorf, Germany - Mitsubishi Electric Halle
4/16/17 Amsterdam, Netherlands - Heineken Music Hall
4/17/17 Amsterdam, Netherlands - Heineken Music Hall
4/20/17 Paris, France - Zenith Paris
4/22/17 Esch-sur-Alzette, Luxembourg - Rockhal
4/24/17 Antwerp, Belgium - Lotto Arena
4/25/17 Frankfurt, Germany - Festhalle
4/27/17 Siegen, Germany - Siegerlandhalle
4/28/17 Göttingen, Germany - Lokhalle
4/30/17 Bochum, Germany - RuhrCongress
5/1/17 Bochum, Germany - RuhrCongress

5/3/17 Cardiff, Wales - Motorpoint Arena
5/4/17 Bournemouth, England - Bournemouth International Centre
5/5/17 Nottingham, England - Motorpoint Arena
5/7/17 Glasgow, Scotland - SECC Clyde Auditorium
5/8/17 Liverpool, England - Echo Arena
5/9/17 London, England - The SSE Arena, Wembley
5/11/17 Dublin, Ireland - 3Arena

Then again, in November my crystall ball said Hillary, not Trump - so I'm not sure....
