There are reports from others that the answer is yes. And for a while now. Apparently the album rehearsals took place during soundchecks.

Cool but I have a feeling that Bob won't play any new songs from Tempest until NYC. :(

Wouldn't it be funny if they just showed up one night and went right thru the new album
then the post will all be..... 'why doesn't he play any of his old song?'
yeah, maybe this is just all to even out the beginnings of the gospel tour when he only played his new stuff.....

Last soundcheck he played John Wesley Harding and Baby Stop Crying (Baby Stop Crying was just piano and guitar fills) and apparently they sounded pretty decent, hope we get to hear them.

I don't believe that. But facts are facts so it must be true.

From what people have been saying about the sound recently I'm amazed they are even doing soundchecks unless the purpose is to make sure the piano drowns everyone else out! One assumes BD has some say over the levels, if he trusts his soundman maybe he should take a listen to the front of house mix? Difficult while he is playing piano of course....

a fact is a rumour that everyone agrees on.

Yes, because a fact is a fact because it's a fact, there's no denying the fact. :P

I can confirm that for Bilbao, because I heard it too. However, I think debbie is just kidding with us.

From Guy Fletcher's tour diary (San Francisco):

Quote:
Bob's band were as usual on stage sound-checking, running new tunes, old tunes [...]

...whatever "new tunes" means

That would be amazing. I'm seeing him in Brooklyn (last show of the tour). I'm hoping he pulls out all the stops for that one. Either way though, it'll just be nice seeing him again!

I have a feeling that we'll here more Tempest tunes live very soon. And I hope he'll invite Knopfler to join him again, also. Not that Knopfler with Dylan's Band would really work, but it's just great to see the two of the greatest songwriters together on stage.

Just my guess but I forgot about Hollywood. I think he is gonna play one or two new tunes at the bowl. :D

I have a feeling that every time anyone predicts that Bob is going to play something from Tempest, he doesn't play anything from Tempest. So my prediction is that he won't play anything from Tempest until the day that no one anywhere expects him to play anything from Tempest.

But, you know, that's just a feeling. It's not based on the facts or anything.

I like your avatar, Shooting Star Night. Miley Cyrus has a cool new look. I never understood the hate she attracted for her Dylan cover. One of the best things on "Chimes Of Freedom".
