Does anyone know the name of or any information about Bob's asian roadie who walks with the limp?

My sources indicate he has been with Bob since '97.

I was watching the Cars play in New York and he was the roadie with them too! I told my friend this, he said I've probably been to too many Dylan concerts if I recognize the roadies.

I don't know too much about him, I think he's the guitar tech.

I think he used to be with Patti Smith before he joined Bob's team. I think he's mentioned in the credits to Patti Smith's "Gone Again" (1996).

Yeah, he's been with Bob a long time. Someone's bound to come along and know what his name is. Sorry, I can't help.

Judging by the photo, he appears to be lousy at his job. It says he "looks after the band members' guitars." However, he's looking out the window & the guitars aren't anywhere to be seen, apparently stolen right from under his nose. On the bright side, he looks comfortable.

He does a good job looking after Bob's guitar and piano.

Come to think of it, Bob's piano has been missing since 2005. I think we're on to some sort of conspiracy here....

Apparently he's into Calvin Klein, Armani, Gucci, D&G Fragrances and, as most Chinese people nowadays, he's crazy about 十万人要求承认独中统考文凭;制度拨款独中教育.

Funny story about him, on the last night of Hammersmith the other day, we were in the queue and spotted him walking right past the queue and into the side entrance of the venue! It seems only me, my dad and Josepi (username, doesnt post much anymore) spotted him and walked over and asked for a picture with him. Without even looking at us or stopping, he shook his head and carried on through the gates
Never felt so rejected haha!

Where you stood near Josepi on the last night, grwarrington? I think you may have been standing right by me in the line. I remember at one point in the afternoon the people behind jumping over the barriers and going towards the entrance, was that you? I was speaking to a lad who had met Donnie in the hotel earlier... from another thread I can see that was Josepi? I was in a dark blue coat, was stood right by the little gap in the gates, where people kept walking in and out of.

One of my pre-show rituals is spotting this guy. I think he does more than "watch the guitars." That's what I do. I've seen him tune the piano (organ), the mandolins and smaller instruments, burn the incense, bring out the drinks, ( and Dylan's special orange drink), tape down loose wires, bring out the set-lists, and walk very fast to and fro. He works for Bob Dylan and so he is awesome in my book.

Yes, when Yik (if that's really his name) is spotted on the scene it just adds to the pre show excitement. He works his ass off and is obviously valued for what he does. He's been with the Dylan crew for quite some time...

Yeah I was with Josepi all of sunday and monday, we stayed in the same hotel and had breakfast together!
I think I remember you, could you give me a further descrpition? Haha. It was us who kept going round to the side entrance, and (99% sure) we saw Bob get off a minibus which Barron was in and go into his bus parked round the back.
I was the guy about Josepi's age and was with my dad in the queue.
Josepi's story of meeting Donnie is fantastic! We were also lucky enough that night after the show to meet and have a chat with the rest of the band, I will PM anyone who wants to hear more about this!

Yup I'd like to hear more! Was that back at the hotel? I know Josepi mentioned the hotel the band where at, I was thinking of having a walk passed, but didn't..

Yeah I think you arrived just after me in the afternoon.. I was sat on the floor for a bit. Description, I'm about 6 ft 1, shortish hair, bit of a beard, late twenties.
