Persistence! First got row G, then row C and finally row A It's a little further to the side than I would like but I'm happy nonethess. Sure beats last Friday's ticket buying ordeal.

Yeah, we figured it's about a 6 hour drive.

if labor day were a week later this year i'd be an hour and a half away from Uncasville. but i will miss him by a week --

but he might put something down on the 3rd. looks like it's mostly three nights on/one night off.

Des Moines is too close for me to pass up......so after a drought of 2 years I will get to see him twice in one week

i have a feeling Des Moines is going to be a sleeper summer spectacular!

While the rumor mill is silent, could someone explain the appeal of bob weir to me? i do have a deadfan background - but the closest i came to getting it was when i saw the bumper sticker "bobby fans are people too" at a dead show...

I think it's really up to you. Each of us are moved in different ways. For instance, I don't get Mellencamp and I'm good with that.

Its like Ringo, you like him cause he was in the Beatles, you probably woudnt follow him on tour, but it would be cool if he opened for Dylan.

i've been trying to convince my wife to go see Ringo at a nearby casino in a week or so. i think it would be a great spot for beatle watching.

Well im a Deadhead too, I really like a lot of Bobby songs, like Sugar Magnolia. Like his version of Stuck inside of Mobile. But his mumbling on Desolation Row gets on my nerves and his Little Red Rooster, ugh. Took me a while to realize that i was more into Dylan than the Dead. Jerry Garcia blows my mind, like Hendrix and Dylan. But Bob Weir, not so much. Ive seen him with Furthur a few times and it just was what it was.

I think a lot of people like him now cause they think they are supposed to.

Cool thing is that when he opens for Dylan more heads will show up and things might get weird
