^I think that would be good. Not up for any stadium/shed shows this year...would like to see him back in the old theatres in the Fall.

Before I turned on the radio this morning I played a game with myself. I said that the first song that I heard would be the opening song that Bob would sing this year when I see him.

Think there's any chance that he'll do South City Midnite Lady by the Doobies in '12? He'd nail it!

Anybody think he'll do another "Bob Dylan Show" baseball park tour with Willie and John or Merle? I'm not saying I want that but it seems like since he hasn't done that in a bit it might be coming.

On the other hand, whatever he does, I can't wait.

Why would it matter what anybody thinks regarding when Bob may or may not announce US tour dates, or if anybody thinks if he'll do a ball park tour? It's not going to make something happen, or stop something from happening. Not trying to be rude...but how can opinions that mean absolutely nothing...mean anything?

Gee, just a little harmless speculation, based on what he's done in the past and what we know so far...does it bother you if someone asks you how you think the Dolphins are going to do next season? Same thing.

First, it's not the same as asking how the Dolphins will do next year. That's a product that I know will be playing from X to X next year, can look at how they played last year, study their roster and draft, etc, etc,. Second, I shouldn't have said anything, because I know it's just harmless speculation. Must've been in a bad mood. My bad.

Looks like it will be later for the announcement.

Possibly he knows there are a lot of other 'returning' and regular performers touring the US and he does not wish to get involved; book theatres, etc. so he will/is waiting until Autumn.

My understanding based upon my strict membership in the 'special group' of highly regarded Dylan fans, and you can consider this an improper rumor if you must, is that the announcement regarding US shows will come some time after today.

US tour announcements will come out over the summer within one month of the new album announcement, probably July-ish.

I love when he plays New York in the winter, there's just something about going into a warm theater, as long as the winter isn't as mild as it was this past year.

You could try and boom him.

Quote:
House concerts are growing in popularity with those who prefer their live folk, country and blues without the barroom. Search houseconcerts.com, concertsinyourhome.com or "(your city) house concerts" for local home-hosted tunes.

Walker says house concerts work for artists and fans. "If they get $10 a ticket for (1,000) people, that's $10,000," he says. "And that's probably the low end."

One California promoter even planned one for Bob Dylan.

"The club held 700 and he planned to charge $75," Walker says. "Ca-ching, that's $50,000 and you get to sit 12 rows from Bob Dylan. Where would you ever get that?"

I laughed so hard when I read this. I think I can count the times I was that far back from the stage on one hand.

Not in a tiny club, though, right? It would be a very different experience.

I have been to club shows, not 700 capacity, but 1000 - 1200, so pretty intimate still. They were all general admission, so I got to be close up.

Possible Bob/Willie Nelson tour?

Alex Gray presented the Town Council with a list of shows he might be able bring to Scarborough Downs this summer, including country artist Miranda Lambert on July 27, WCYY's Oxxfest rock show on Aug. 10, rockers Train and Matt Carney on Aug. 24 and Aug. 26, and the Rockstar Energy Drink Tour on Sept. 1.

The list included the possibility of a show by pop singer Jason Mraz in late July and an undated show featuring music legends Bob Dylan and Willie Nelson.

That's funny. Please no more Willie combos. We did that enough already and I don't know how many more I could stand. Don't get me wrong, I respect Willie and his family. I like the Mark rumor more now though. The plus side is that a lot of Willies leave when Bob comes on.
