It seems that there is only one bridge crossing the moat to enter the Citadel in Berlin. The question is: Where exactly will be the locks. As far as I could make out, the Citadel is open to the public generally, aside from concert goers I mean. So the locks might be somewhat close to the yard and not at or on the bridge. Does anybody know of this better?

As to Bonn: having an extra barrier, like it was in 2004 is a good idea to prevent people from the pressure of pushing. If this idea is that good with a second checkpoint I do doubt. This smells of confusion. In addition, if this is the first series of concerts in the new venue, we can only hope they got enough experience to handel the entrance situation propper. I recall in 2004 there was just one gate and the queue was to long to get all the people waiting into the venue in time. This said, maybe the locals should be questioned how they will handle the entrance. I can do it myself next week but maybe it will be good if they receive calls from more than one person. I don't need another Mainz.

Me neither. I will also contact them, though I'm not sure they'll have a well thought out plan 3 months in advance.

Yeah. Gotta ask my employer for two or three days off and check the train connections to Dresden.

Doing so would mean a train ride to Dresden on Tuesday, one overnight stay there after the show and a train ride back to Bonn (or more exactly to the rhine-ruhr area) on wednesday. I'd like that. :D

I'm tired to refresh every half hours Bob official site. Why are there no updates? I mean Bayonne tickets will go on sale on April 4 and still no confirmation? I really don't understand.

It's the same with the shows in Germany - nothing has been confirmed yet on bobdylan.com

I was told to take the risk and I did..... Got my tickets and just hope everything will work out fine.

Don't worry, all is good. They cannot sell tickets without having the contracts in hand. The updating of the official website is a whole different business. I was told to expect more news by mid-week.

Dylan, Inc. is traditionally slow. You are in the right place. If you see tix, grab 'em.

So Italy might still be an option - Austria would be over the top, but I know it would be too much to hope for....

I think it seems possible! But we never know. I am more lucky this summer than last year with no dates in France during the last European summer tour!

There are only four days between Montreux and Benicassim - I predict it's via Italy and France. Are there any summer concert series around Cannes, Marseille, Narbonne?

Between Montreux and Benicassim! That seems likely.

Possibly one before Benicassim (13 July) and one or two after before heading back up to Lyon?

One or two shows in BeNeLux would be great.

Might make sense to go back up there from Carhaix?

Hmm, they seem to indicate three French dates only and end of tour after Carhaix?

Well, except that there's no international airport, Carhaix would make sense as the last date, there's really no way to play another show that's reasonably close. More than three French dates would be kind of unusual as well. However, I doubt that some source in France would know more than anyone else, meaning: They probably just looked at bd.com and thought "Oh, last date".

Seeing that there are zero rumours apart from couple more in Spain and Italy, they really could fit in Italy after Montreux and add two Spain shows before or more likely after FIB to finalize this tour.

Can someone advice me?

Here's the deal:

I'm coming from the Netherlands to see a Dylan show. I have limited funds, and I haven't been to most of these places. Can the french/german people advice me on what location would be the easiest to visit in terms of getting around and actually finding a reasonable priced place to sleep a night?

Thanks ya'll !
