I visit nearly every day and I've never noticed a problem in terms of load times. On a side note, I'm glad the Google Ads is paying off for you. ER's a great site and it deserves a bit of payback.

I experience somewhat the same. :)
When opening from normal link from my bookmark bar , the Front Page shows 4th June as the newest news.
When I click Refresh, the remaining days after this appear OK.
A way to get stuck in time if you want to.
