UP - when the holidays are over, you might want to ask KE about this. He would be the one to decide on new forums, etc.

Recently jcastro and chambre came to me and asked about adding the Spanish Boots forum. I sent the request to KE & he agreed to it provided there where enough members interested to warrant adding a Spanish language section (which there seems to be). I would imagine the same would be true for the type of forum topic you're inquiring about adding.

Many thanks for the info... Numerous threads have been started and I do believe it could be popular BUT many of the threads began to descend into proselytizing with some insults thrown in for good measure. Inevitably many of the the spirituality discussions broke down into religious discourse. As I recall, none of them became so contentious that they required locking but it was frustrating that good discussions would degenreate into such discourse.

The more I think about it the less I'm convinced of its need. Much of Dylan's work has had deep religious and spiritual implications and this would be true of many artists. I think it would be interesting.

I didn't want to give you false hope but wanted you to know that it wouldn't be our (the moderating team's) decision. Ultimately KE oversees any significant changes to the site. I do know that Spanish Boots was approved and added by KE because it's BD related.

No false hope with me. I'd be interested but honestly, I'm not convinced that it would be helpful or necessary at this time. Interesting perhaps but as you can probably attest, there are moments when Political World gets heated. Having a second area of the forum with such potential may be a nightmare. I'd like to think we could all be adults and discuss ideas and experiences but something tells me that may not be realistic...

Still though, it is intriguing...

I do not really think any more forums are needed here. I have been here over five years and there are still a couple I am yet to visit.

I'm w u oldmanemu. I think the forums we have are able to accommodate most everyone's needs/topics/inquiries for a Bob Dylan site. That's what we need to remember- that the focus here is Bob and his music. Attempts to fit every possible topic in to its own forum here will dilute the purpose for the ER Discussion Board.

8) I'd post this wonderful pic of window-washers at a children's hospital in Pittsburgh.

It would be really cool if you guys came to Pittsburgh & we could meet.

Unfortunately, I'm busy that day.
