I think the cover is fantastic, although very unusual for Bob. I think it ties in very much with the more "youthful" look of bobdylan.com and maybe a shift towards a younger audience?!

Also, while some speculated when they first heard the title, that this might be Bob's final album, the cover seems be be more of a beginning than an end, both in terms of style and what the picture seems to say.

Is it just me or does it show two guys kissing in the back of a car?

That's what I think. It's kinda provocative, for Bob. As usual, I wonder what it means...

As it's been said before its girl. She is said to appear at other pictures from the "same session". But indeed they look like two boys... intriguing nevertheless

He says in the interview that this album is more "romantic" than the last. Maybe to Bob "romantic" means a clumsy snog in the backseat. In which case - I'm gonna love this album!!!

The cover is great. Trust Bob to come up with something that at the same time can be called lousy and great.

Girl or boy kissing that bloke? Sure, those who know the series of pics know it's a woman. Those who don't are left to wonder.

He gets you talking doesn't he.

I agree with you Ditch. It has been chosen in part for its ambiguity in that regard. Quite possibly by some cynical Sony executive looking for a happy combination of "fresh, young" and "somewhat controversial, cutting edge''.

Still, I like the cover.

yes. especially the interview. that doesn't sound like him. since when is he talking about family, meaning and audiences in such way?

this bit is just stupid:

- Movie?
Yeah.

this is all too weird...

This album with its playfulness and grit seems a lot closer to the Lonesome Day Blues/Floater/Highwater of 'Love & Theft' than anything on MT. In the interview, is Dylan saying 'MT brought everyone up to pace, now let's have some fckn fun'?

I actually really like the cover. The cover is so different to what I was expecting and it's different to his other recent album covers, which makes the new cover even better! :D
I like the fact that the cover has elements of intrigue and being really interested in photography, I love the photograph.

Although the interview did sound rather strange. Just some of the answers didn't seem like what Bob would say but either way a great cover and interview. I can't wait for the new album, I'm really curious to how the album will sound like.

I like it! The cover's great! The interview, however, gives very little information. It's in typical Dylan fashion.

Maybe he should have used this photo for the cover art. It would have been perfect, just a couple of months after his Pepsi commercial:

A morsel of new information. Thank-you. Something to wake up for in the days ahead. How slowly will they eke these 2 additional instalments out? Every few days, weekly? Every 10 days or so? Will they contain dramatic new information? All matters to salivate over.

On the opposite site, my first thought was: oh, they are looking back, and they are young, so maybe he is looking back to his younger self, too (I know, he's younger than that now, but anyway...), so with the title in mind, one rather gets a kind of farewell feeling, confirming those speculations.
But then: that's the way I thought about "Good As I Been To You" as well.

I don't like the title of the album so much, but the cover is quite good. It has some kind of Bonnie & Clyde feeling in it.

But all that is secondary; it's about the music, can't wait to hear it!

A strange and striking cover
I think I’m beginning to like it
The title sort of fits together with it too.

I’m really looking forward to listen to it
I have a hunch that it’s going to be good
(knock on wood)

I like the cover art with the pretzel people and I loved the interview (well not-so-much the part that might mean Bob's got a wife). But all that talk about US - Bob's fans - was great. We make his world go round, for sure. :D :D

(Can't wait to see LJ's thread about Bob's smelly porta-potty & the NET)

The album cover looks like a Levi's commercial.

The cover reminds me very much of the Oh Mercy cover.
