“We’ve been working on this for months,” said a spokesman for the Roundhouse. There is good news for unlucky Bobcats. The gig should be broadcast – via the web.

anyone in London who can get confirmation? John B?

That would be great, but Bob usually doesn't allow this kind of thing, so I am doubtful. Of course, there were a couple of songs from one gig released to South American TV last year...

Hopefully they're shot better then that TV thing last year. I know its TV, but one static shot of a guy not moving is more boring then paint drying..........I'm sorry. If that ALL he'd give you just dont put it on at all

I said South American, but it was actually Spanish TV, from the Madrid show:

Just Like Tom Thumb's Blues

There was one for "It Ain't Me, Babe" as well but it has been taken down...

Indeed, I hope this indeed leads to some great video and music of the whole band and Bob.

Hahahaha!

Sure, in fact, I'll shoot ALL the band. Dylan wont even have to be on screen, which would probably make him pretty happy :P

I hope it's web cast and my 6'3" frame is up front and blocking part of your view.

I apologize in advance :)

The online ticket sale was a predictable train wreck- with the site going down right on cue at the 9am start. I had already logged in at 8.30, but when I pressed the book tickets submit button at 09.00.00- oblivion. When I eventually got through again at 9.15, a message had gone up, explaining the meltdown, and giving a number to call. Got through ok, but was then held in a queue for 15 minutes. Hung up and tried again. Couldn't even get a connection. Eventually got through again, but no reply. By 11.15 the concert was sold out. I'd love to know if there's a procedure in place to help get to the front of these online ticket sales stampedes.

I've made a few enquiries and the webcast will definitely not be happening. I don't think any of us really believed that it would ... or did we?

John,

Any word on whether Dylan may allow the video screens at the 02 to be used?

And was it Bob Zimmerman's offer to do the filming that nixed the webcast plan??

You know, I thought the video screens were even more unlikely, so unlikely that I didn't bother to ask - but I will. And, yes, that Bob Zimmerman fellow has got a lot to answer for.

Ah, so when they told me "Bob said no", they must have been referring to you.
