even closer to me, however I was only 3, so I wasn't aware of his sexy beastliness at the time... I had a crush on Jimmy from the Mickey Mouse club and Mr Rogers instead...

Here's what I love about this:

The song
The *subtle* way he's directing the band. I love watching that.
Looks like the shortened his jacket a bit. He also looks cute in his white pants and *spat* boots.

Dislike:
I'm not a big fan of the piano. He's too far away & it doesn't add anything to the performance.

Wait till you've seen it for yourself. I agree he's quite far away, but I must strongly disagree that it doesn't add to the overall performance, both audibly and visually.

But isn't he far,far away?

I didn't think it added much to the performance here but maybe it's crappy audio.

Still, I want to *see* him. :(

Well.... you need to have a good spot to see him, that's true. But you needed that with the keyboard, too, and even when he's at center stage sometimes. Last fall, the stage was usually not very well lit, and he was wearing black head to toe. You could hardly see his face from the front row! He's a master of hiding on stage. But on the other hand, he still engages with the audience in the way that he does. Where / when will you see him? I don't think you'll be disappointed. Not with his actual playing, either.

So far, I'm going to 4 shows from NY down to Boston (so far). I was going to go to a Cali show but can't swing the money right now. Afterall, I had to have some $ left for my :D Alan Jackson :D ticket (and the Wallflowers). :o

Boston isn't on sale yet and I'm on the fence about going. It's in my own back yard but 20,000 seats. grrrrr..... :x We'll see.

They're all seated? I know I'm very spoiled in that regard, but yes, I want to see him, so I know what it's like - the furthest away I was last tour was row 9 at Nimes. It was like going to the movies.

Yeah, they're all seated but I've got good seats. I'm concerned the height of the state will block the view.

I usually always get on the rail so I'm spoiled, too.

I find it hurtful to see this - it's very clear that he doesn't want to be photographed. It's cruel.

Excellent story.... I love to see the young ones at the concerts....what a cool way to tell him... you are a good aunt...... there was a girl, maybe 10 at one concert we went to with her dad.... we made room at the rail.... she knew every song, sang right along with a few.... 8)
