I've just been listening to a lot of other music. In general I get bored of music quite quickly and have to find something new to listen to. I love discovering stuff I haven't heard before, but I'll go back to Dylan soon enough.

I've been listening to The Band's cover of "Blind Willie McTell" from their Jericho CD. Beautiful how Levon Helm, Rick Danko, and Garth Hudson took turns singing verses on this great song.

Having spent the past weekends revisiting the Lower East Side with my middle daughter and witnessing first hand sites and locations pertinent to her family heritage I cannot keep that song and that verse out of my head. It puts a chill in my marrow each time I hear it, especially as my child and I contemplate our essentially diminishing lives first hand.
