Just came across a story on tumblr that Bob was hangin' out with Jack White, telling him, "I could do something about those gates." and proceeding to teach Jack some welding.

If I could have gotten to the full story, I would have posted the link, however, it is on a site that requires registration. The bit I was talking about is from this twitter account, scroll down a bit.

Thank you very much! I did some welding in high school...it was fun to be the only girl in the class!

I love the Tom Petty quote from that same page:
"George [Harrison] was the kind of guy who wasn’t going to leave until he hugged you for five minutes and told you how much he loved you."

What a lovely thing to say about someone, and what a lovely way to be.

It is from this article in the New York Times on pg. 4, I think.

I enjoyed reading the article. It is well-written, the perfect length, circles back upon itself, and contains some great quotations. I even know a family with the name Eells; I'll ask if they're related! Thanks so much!

The article is awesome! :D I love Jack White and that article made my day especially the part about Jack's fathers (Bob being one of them) and the gate and sitting on his porch with Bob. I even called my son and told him to read it, but he is now to cool for school and no longer considers Jack White a God. The new Mod God! 8) Love, Joanna XOXOX

It can always be said that Bob Dylan's writing, music, art is thought provoking. so I would say mostly gates. :)

:) Incredible what can be done now with "mixed media", isn't it- whatever elements are being used.
