OK, so Bob has engaged in a lot of antics lately that call the concept of "authorship" into question.
Ghostwriting of songs is rumored to be rampant in the music industry. There has been some controversy recently about ghostwriting in hip-hop:

Wiki gives the same unsourced rumor: that ghostwriting is incredibly commonplace in the music industry.
http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/GhostwriterSince I've long wondered if Bob does a significant amount of ghostwriting himself, I wonder if all his recent "who's-the-real-author" games are a bit of a commentary on that. Could he be making the point that you never really know who has created what youre listening to/looking at?
