Yes, I was talking about the actual discs.

And that singles cover book, it's got that darn eye on the front. I thought it was supposed to be Bob Dylan single sleeve, but....

They should bin the whole story. A plain "Please welcome Bob Dylan" would do.

They shouldn't even introduce him.

Yeah, like the Grateful Dead. They'd just walk out on stage and start playing...no fanfare. Y'know, I don't remember Dylan's set having any formal Bob intro when he toured with the G. Dead in late 80's. If I recall correctly, they'd just walk back out with Dylan for their 3rd set with no intro. I could be wrong as it was a while ago and I hadn't slept much (great times were had!) I'd have to listen to those recordings again, I guess. Never really thought about it all that much.

I wonder if this intro will continue as this year's tour begins in a couple of hours in Rio. Seems like he needs to add another decade to the description. It's been almost that long since that newspaper reviewer wrote it. Maybe have him add another sentence, or better yet, announce it in Portuguese.

Ladies and Gentlemen, thank you for flying ModBob. Our captain this evening, Mister Dylan, would like to inform passengers that he is currently experiencing turbulence over the sanity region, which is expected to last for the next 90 minutes, but not to panic as this happens every evening around now. Those of a nervous disposition are advised to make an orderly exit immediately, through doors located to the sides of the auditorium. Sick bags are located under your seats, and oxygen masks are available should you find yourself convulsing with laughter at any stage. In the event of any songs from the last three albums, or Mr Dylan touching the hazardous keyboard by mistake, please place your head between your knees and ram your fingers into your ears until security come and pat you on the back to indicate it is safe to resume. For those having second thoughts and with stomach linings still intact, we'd like to point out that the pub over the road is serving a selection of hot and cold beverages and snacks and has a jukebox which plays those great albums he did from the 60s and 70s, with the real singing on them. Before we land, please take time to acquaint yourselves with the small print on the back of your tickets - particularly the parts about inner ear burstage, uncontrollable rage and our no-refund policy on that precious period of your life.

Sounds better in Portuguese. Mainly because I don't understand that language.
Senhoras e cavalheiros, obrigado voando ModBob.

So that intro has become history. At least for this South American tour.
Now to get him to ditch Leopard!

Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the man whose songs are tongued with fire beyond the language of the living, the man that can walk across a highway mirage. The man who spins weathervanes and purifies radioactive winds. The man who dives for swamp water pearls. The man plumed in serpent feathers, the man whose head glows like a jack-o'-lantern. The man who is a fixture of every model train set. Here’s the man who pulled the devil's hair, the man who can juggle eyes while blindfolded, the suspicious man that looks like a man but isn't. The man that snows coins, the man full of wasps. The man who wasn't made on a potter’s wheel, the double-helix man that renders lovers identical with night. Ladies and gentlemen — Columbia recording artist Bob Dylan!
