I feel that we are on the right track, and I am sure that if we continue along the Carol/Carole path, the mystery of the EB woman will be solved and the lady in question exposed!

Call me crazy, but I vaguely remember an interview Dylan did around the release of that album where he says it's a drawing of Joan Baez.

... and to add to the mystery, I can now exclusively reveal that I have eliminated both Carol Dekker and Carol Thatcher from our investigation.

After lengthy research and by comparing their photographs to that of the 'unknown' Carol on the back of Empire Burlesque, I can say with total confidence that neither of these to suspects are the woman we are searching for.

This is a much harder case to crack than I first imagined... long, hard, draining nights staring at photographs of ladies is beginning to take it's toll on me... but I won't give up, I will continue to stare at them until the mystery babe's indentity is finally revealed.
