Great video.
IF it gets released, they could have a choice between a 'regular' box with a best of Supper Club CD/DVD, and a collector's edition with the complete music and footage. Just don't price it in a Tell Tale Signs way.

I've never seen that footage of Ring Them Bells either, but there were some other pieces of songs from the Supper Club shows around on the internet, I think.

I also remember reading somewhere (probably here) that the darkness of those videos was on purpose, though I can't recall why exactly - either because Bob wanted it that way, or because that way it wouldn't be bootlegged widely, or something.

Would be great to have this as a bootleg series issue, as long as the video footage is included!

Quite.

We have all the shows in great sound, so the video footage is only selling point, as far as I'm concerned.

I'd like to have Woodstock '94 released on DVD too - with 5.1 sound. With the Nara performances from the same year as a bonus.

And there seems to be a lot of footage from '81 concerts around on the interwebs. I'd like to see that officially compiled with good sound.

I can't see Sony making a great deal of cash from CD-only releases any more, so DVD/CD sets make sense for them too. In the past they have offered bonus DVDs with Dylan CDs - that is now surely the wrong way round now. It is the video footage that has the allure for the punters.

I suspect any limited release CD-only box set would once again be sold at a silly price to make it worthwhile producing.

If you concider "Witmark Demos" is hardly the case here. I guess we will see "Supper Club" this year. And it will be great.

The release of this is inevitable. The Bootleg series will last much longer than the never ending tour.
It is likely that the 1966 Manchester video will come out on the year of Dylan's death.

A CD/DVD package would be sweet. The best version of each song played. It'd look something like this i think:

Absolutely Sweet Marie
Blood In My Eyes
Delia
Disease Of Conceit
Forever Young
I Shall Be Released
I Want You
I'll Be Your Baby Tonight
Jack-A-Roe
Jim Jones
Lay Lady Lay
My Back Pages
One More Cup Of Coffee
One Too Many Mornings
Queen Jane Approximately
Ragged And Dirty
Ring Them Bells
Tight Connection To My Heart
Weeping Willow

Yeah. this looks good.

Has anyone put something like this together? The best take of each song? I don't have the time, but if someone's already done this, taken the time to choose the best version of each song played, If you could share it, I'd sure trust you on it. I'd like to burn a nice Supper Club 2-cd set for the road.

I really hope this gets released, at this stage i'll be happy with any bootleg release as long as it's not from the 60's

Yes, that would be excellent! I guess it would be too hardcore to release all four shows on four cds and two dvds; great for us, but maybe too much for the casual fan. But does the casual fan buy the stuff from the Bootleg Series? Hm. Anyway, shouldn't an eventual full set also feature the performance of "Forever Young" that he did on the Letterman show the day after the last Supper Club show? Here it is:

It was deleted and then resubmitted:
