I think I heard that Jakob has sold more records than Bob has...could that be true?

I think the second Wallflowers album was 4 x platinum, but beyond that I don't know.

surely bob must have sold more then only 70 milion records (Suri seems to be all over this place)
that would mean Michael JAckson sold more with one (Thriller, 110) record then Bob in his whole career? must commit suicide if that is the world we live in damnit.

Probably Jakob had a bigger seller on that one record than his father had on any single release. And that's fine; generally Bob Dylan fans aren't looking for some huge plurality to join.

pottel, if Suri made a record tomorrow, chances are that she'll outsell Bob's latest release. But don't let this disturb you in any way. Bob isn't for everyone.

I remember reading an interview when I first started listening to Bob last year. I think it may have been on the official site. There was mention in the interview of him selling over 100 million and Bob said something like I know, can you believe that? I'm paraphrasing, but I'll see if I can find it.

He has sold at least 200 to me.

In 32 years I've bought 'em all on cassette, record, CD, remastered CD. SACD, mono CD, Gold CD (good lord, what was that?) gifts, and now I'm buying them all, all over again 'cause somebody stole all my CDs.

I would estimate that 70 million is very low considering most of his catalogue is still selling steadily.
