Just put another of my Bob Dylan inspired paintings on eBay. Check it out under the title 'TIMES CHANGING' Ray Keats. Again the auction start bid is 99pence with a BUY It NOW price of £200 and no reserve. The theme of the painting is the transition Dylan made from acoustic to electric. Have a look on www.RKart.co.uk for a clearer picture of the painting. You'll also see 'TEN LIVES' which will be the next painting I'll list on eBay. Putting these paintings on eBay is a desperate attempt to get some money to help support my artist friends in the Caribbean. Check the same website for the work of Wendell Bailey - one of the people I have helped for the past twenty years.

Good stuff Ray - you got a lot of talent.

I like all your art, and might have a punt or two if I can find some cash from somewhere.....

Keep on keepin' on. Creativity like yours should be nurtured,

Thank you! Always good to have work appreciated.
I have over sixty images relating to Bob Dylan and use these on cards and as repros. Check out some of them on www.raykeats.plus.com and www.RKart.co.uk I have new ideas in mind but want to clear the decks to give myself breathing space. Cheers Benny Boy. Ray

Your work is amazing. I love it. The colors - wow! I also love that you incorporate cats in your Dylan paintings. Bobcats is wonderful. 9 Lives I also love. There is nothing I do not like, it's all refreshing, joyfully fantastic.

Thank you - glad you like my paintings. I find Dylan's lyrics are so full of visual images. The cats - all mine at one time or another. In 'Ten Lives' one for Dylan and nine for the cat it was the cat that inspired me - as much as Dylan as I saw in my cat's expression some of that street wise, shrewd look that they both seem share. Thanks again. Ray

You're welcome Ray. I've just been on your site again and found "Nevermore". Just beautiful.
http://www.rkart.co.uk/cgi-bin/cart.cgi?pid=132

I thought you were a guy. My son in law is named Ray. Not that it matters. I did feel that
the cats were a feminine inspiration, but because of your name being "Ray" I discounted
my initial instinct. Silly me. I even have a granddaughter named Ray and another named Raven.
Anyway, I hope you get more responses to this thread, you, your work deserves the attention.
I also checked out Wendell Baily's work. Hope I'm spelling her name correctly.
Another very talented artist, she is. Best wishes to you both.

Also, just remembered, there is a thread in the Off Topic section where you can post
your work if you are so inclined. It's called "A Thread For Posting Your Drawings, Paintings, Creations"

Hi. Your comments are interesting to me. 'Nevermore' and the figures in the painting are the re-working, in my own way, of Paul Gauguin's painting 'Nave Nave Mahana' - (Delightful Day') - not delightful in my painting but the arrangement of figures, trees and landscape are the same. My painting is about an invasion by strange alien beings set upon destroying the land and its inhabitants. The raven (Raven is a lovely name for your daughter) on the branch is taken from another Gauguin painting where he, G, has painted the word 'Nevermore' - evidently a reference to E. A. Poe's poem. Strange where inspiration comes from! I am always willing to discuss paintings but not on ER site unless it's the Dylan ones. My email address for other discussion is raypaint@talktalk.net Thanks for looking at my websites. Wendell Bailey is a he and not a she. Proceeds from sale of my work help him to but his paints and canvas, and food. Thanks also for the link to the thread where i can display my Dylan paintings. cheers!
Ray

This is one of my favourites Ray. Good luck with the sale.
