Just wanted to pop in and say happy birthday to an American original, Woody Guthrie. Not many men have done the things that he's done.

1. Sadly this thread only had one reply on a Bob Dylan forum.
2. Depressingly, there was no mention of this type of event on the very centennial of his birth this year.
3. Embarrassingly, I didn't notice this until now.
4, Hopefully, getting it in within in the month will count as 'in the BallPark,' and okay with the big guy.

There were bunches of articles on the homepage for a while. I paid tribute on the day of his birth on facebook. I think the spirit of Woody runs all through these threads.

On Woody's 100th birthday I was in a muddy Hyde Park protesting with some firefighters and ER's very own LaRue. I think Woody would have been proud!
