Ya I know were on a bob site.. but guess what? That does not mean he is your all-time favorite artist now or current. Right now springsteen has a very slight edge on his bobness for me. But I love them both and visit both websites. I asked the same question on the bruce sight and surprisingly about 20% said bruce was not their favorite artist.. so? What say you?

8) Yep...Bob is my favorite by a long shot...always was and always will be.
Van Morrison, Jerry Garcia and the Stones come in second.

Yeah, he is, and probably always will be.

I listen to a lot more than just Bob, though.

He has to share the spotlight with quite a few others.

His music is not "better" than many others.. of course is not.. it isnt better than the beatles or the stones just to say an obvious example..

but the whole "bob dylan" deal is better for me.. for my personality, for my life experience.. it fits me more..
and that's why i am on a bob forum and not a beatles one..

but when i listen to the beatles i have the same experience that i have listening to bob.. i know i am listening to perfection.. and they excite me, get me emotioned, and happy.. just as bob does..

Maybe if i did a list of musics that i love i could easily get a hundred.. many i have still a lot to listen, and many i have listened their entire discography or almost all of it.. or at least listened many albums..
and i love seeing documentarys from another musicians, and seeing dvds and concerts, i would love to see a lot of them live.. just like i loved to see some i did.. i like seeing pictures, intervies.. everything..

But there is only one i would like to have each and every concert audio, each and every picture, each and every interview..
that is Bob..

and like you say.. probablly it will allways be..

Of course he's not the only one artist for me. I love a lot of different music from the Middle Age to Lhasa de Sela. I'm alvays discovering new things. I.e. 8 years ago i discovered the whole word of Spanish and Latin American music i'd had almost no idea before. There are often some moments when i need to listen to some other music and i can spend all the day listening to the same album of Jethro Tull, time after time.
But with Bob, there is different. I don't need to have each thing done by him, in fact i even don't have all his studio albums, i'll never wear a t-shirt with his face, but he is an important part of my life. Just one part. But a very important one. And he'll remain.

I'm afraid that Bob ruined my taste for popular music, even when I really try to listen to modern artists, I have to turn them off after a while.
It's eighter Bob or classical music for me.

Van Morisson, Elvis Costello, Coldplay; I used to care but things have changed

He´s my favorite artist in well, uhm: Rock Music. Actually he´s the only, well, yeah: Rock Musican I still listen to. If we wolud be talking about, well, "Musicans" I´d probably say John Coltrane. If we´re talking about "Artists" it would probably be Vladimir Nabokov.

Clinton Heylin, in a rare moment of insight, said:
"There's Dylan, and then there's everybody else."

Yep, he's streets ahead of the rest, and my favourite.

No. There are hundreds of artists I prefer. I never listen to him for pleasure. I've had more than enough of him.

Yes, I'd probably still consider him my favorite although I don't listen to him anywhere near as religiously as I used to. I've been through periods where I listened to him ALOT so I may have OD'd a bit at some point. Now I'll go back every few months and revisit old favorites like John Wesley Harding but most of my time is spent listening to a wider variety of music.

If Bob had released the singles Clash City Rockers, Complete Control and (White Man) In Hammersmith Palais, then he would be my favourite artist. But he didn't, so he's not.

Serrat in both Spanish and Catalan. Sabina. The "new Latin American song". Chavela Vargas. Carlos Gardel. Nothing unexpected, the same old stuff i love in American, or English, or French, or Russian music.

I'll admit Bob is one of my favorite artists. He probably has the most name recognition. Most of them come from other countries and have funny names. Currently my most favorite is Luz Maria Bobadilla.

I have just Googled her... and wow... what a foxtress she is... do you know if it is possible to purchase a erotic glamour calendar of her?

If not, I have an old 1986 Sun Page Three calendar I could use... I could print a photo of her face and cut it out and then stick it over the face of the buxom chested page three model lady... I don't think that I would have any problem making it stick!
