Expecting Rain

Anyone else had these problems with them before? The last item I bought was perfect, this is just ridicilous.. Going to ask for my money back and buy it somewhere else.

I got mine from amazon.de as well, and it was packaged to arrive in a perfect condition, which it did.
Was the outer packaging damaged for yours?

Nothing at all. I opened it slowly and steady, and then it was like this when I got it out.

Agree you shouldn't have to accept a damaged item. Hope they'll offer a refund without problems.

Man, that sucks!

Had this problems a few times with amazon. Every time this happened the LP was shipped in a huge package and the LP in this package lies in there sure bouncing like a ping pong ball while on his journey. No problem though to get the money back but i don't buy LPs there anymore when not necessary.

my cd of tempest came completely smashed (amazon too) like someone jumped on it, jewel case demolished
cd was fine so ......oh well

Got my money back and got to keep the vinyl - the best of things, I suppose!

And I probably will stop buying things like these from Amazon too, unless there is no other place.

Also got the deluxe cd. Anyone else unimpressed with the specially produced notebook?

Just like the Christmas cards, who's ever gonna use it? Dylan memorabilia.... needs to be kept in pristine condition. There should have been two with each deluxe set.

The notebook is exactly the right size to transcribe the lyrics into, if your'e a calligraphic type of guy or gal.. but I will be using mine to make a record of live versions of the songs, couple or three pages for each song, times, dates and places...

Anyone else got ideas?

mine came in an Album sleeve/box, inside another box 550x350x100. Admittedly other things also included to stop them rattling around, and also loads of paper packing.

When I first picked up Together Through Life it had two of the same vinyls inside. I had to return it and they gave me a hard time.

I've had a corner bent like that, but it was Love & Theft, and it was already a used vinyl when I received it.

Sorry to hear about the damage. Better to go directly to a store or a place where you can pick out your very own copy and see the condition on the spot...if you can.

yes.. that looks odd claudio.. like the sleeves somehow got wet...and then were subject to a lot of vibration. if i were you i would try to send a line off to them and ask for a new copy. it never hurts to ask. .. right?

I used the Christmas cards, Jo! I thought in the sharing, un-Scrooge-like spirit of the season that I'd send the cards, along with other stuff, to my loved-ones who were furthest away.

my cd and vinyl arrived today.. in great condition im happy to say. After hearing of claudio's delivery of a chewed up cover, i was getting worried. keep us posted if you get a replacement sent to you claudio.. we are rootin for ya!

Thank you for your words queen! And Still Go Barefoot too! As you say, it's difficult for me to find a store where I can find the vinyl. I live in a relative little town, and the music stores here only have Tempest in CD format.

Finally I wrote to amazon and they'll send me another copy of the vinyl for free! So, it's all good!
