Expecting Rain

In the interview between Dylan and Santana (part two) the interviewer asks Dylan if he's given permission to a group called The Mystery Tramps to cover the song Like a Rolling Stone in a hip-hop version. To which of course he says he didn't know anything about it.

Then today I was watching the 1965 press conference and there was a poster on the desk he was sitting at with a musical group called Mystery Tramp which he expressed he would like to go and see if he were in town...The press conference took place on December 3, 1965.

Like a Rolling Stone was released Aug 30, 1965...which obviously has "mystery tramp" in it.

I don't know what I'm getting at here really...I'm just wondering what the connection is...or if there’s none at all…anyone know?

I'm not sure what the origins of the phrase "mystery tramp" is, but it would be a good subject for one of your pictionary sketches.

Ohh man...how can you choose your band name from a Bob Dylan song and not even list him under your musical influences? *sigh* Although I would not categorize them as "hip-hop" so I wonder if this adds another link to the mystery of the mystery tramp.

They definitely weren't even thought of in '65 so that's out of the question as to the other band called the M.T.s

I seem to remember that a "mystery tramp" (or three??) was allegedly seen on or near the grassy knoll.
