Dylanist: Noun:
To behave in such a way that you're nobody's fool. "I have dined with kings, I’ve been offered wings
And I’ve never been too impressed." To not be impressed or taken by people's fawning over you. To remain private and mysterious yet totally normal to those who know you.

Okay people, what can we learn from Bob Dylan to leave a cooler, more productive life? Let's list those things here.

Keep a good head, and always carry a light bulb.

I plugged it in my socket, and the house exploded.

Lexiphanicism (n.) -- the pretentious use of an obscure word. Using the word in conversation is an example of it.

Bob has been a hard working and highly productive guy in the music business for 50 years now and for that deserves our respect. You can probably learn a lot from his example along those lines. As far as being cool, I don't think you can learn too much. Being cool is over-rated and is not anything worthwhile to aim for in life. Just my opinon, that's all.

Make sure that nobody knows you, and you don't know them.

All due respect but that's very bad advice and if you learned that from Bob then you are learning the wrong things from Bob. Maybe you need to be more selective.

I wasn't sure at first but this thread may turn out to be a good learning experience after all.
