I walked into a cafe today and this song was playing from the 2nd Traveling Wilburys album (Vol. 3) and I was delighted to hear such a Dylan song that I couldn't place for about the entire length of the song...and what a cool song!!
It's got a ramshackle feel to it with some funny Dylan lyrics and is probably one of his most under-rated funny love songs.
It's got a charm that I can't place but it all works here, the jump blues rhythm a la Silvio/ Cat's In The Well as well as really nice harmonies with Petty...

Anyway, what do you think y'all? A neat little gem from the 90's huh??

This is a nice little tune.

Vol 1 was great - Vol 3 wasn't very good but I liked a few tracks from it, this included.

Why do you say that? I think Volume 1 is an exceptional record. Volume 3 is not as good, but I still think it's enjoyable.

If this had happened to be on Planet Waves you'd probably give it more shrift.

I really like Bob's vocal delivery on the second verse, when he takes that short breath before "...cowboy fall".
