Erm, no.... he's known for not referring to his Dad's work. The closest they came were both appearing on the Lost Notebook of Hank Williams album, on separate songs.

He did a Lennon song with Dhani Harrison, if that counts.

One question (if I knew I forgot)
Bob changed his real name, didn't he?
I mean apart from his artist name being Bob Dylan, his real name is Bob Dylan :?:

The change was made legal in the early '60s, yes. Apparently, he phoned his father at home to ask if he'd mind. It's in his passport, so it was passed on as the married name of his wives, and the family name of their children.

Yes, I've been known to become upset with people who believe that Jakob is using his father's "stage name" as a means to attain success, and that he ought to go back to using his "real" name, Zimmerman.

But, Bob had his name legally changed, and Jakob was born a Dylan.

Should Jakob ever wish to be legally named Zimmerman, he'll have to do what his dad did--file a petition with a court, and go through a legal name change.

He needs to change his name to Jakob Fudgy-Poodle. That's what's going to get him somewhere, the Dylan name is just too ubiquitous to have much impact.
