Of course Jakob & Tom Waits, but I chose Tom Petty as it would be nice again and there was the pesky rumour earlier in the year.

Waits, because he's said he won't tour the new record and I want him too. Would hit the pub while Bob was on (supporting Tom, of course).

Tom Waits and Dylan could try to out rasp one another!

Jakob Dylan would be an interesting one.

Bruce Springsteen (without the E Street Band) could be a nice one. Either the Sessions Band or Solo Acoustic could work real nice. E Street Nation would probably expect too much rocking from Dylan.

Jack White?

Either way, I'd just prefer Bob on his own.

Lady Gaga. She's one of the few performers who would have the clout to go after Bob. I could see Dylan right at the beginning and beat traffic during her set. Plus, we'd have the ExpectingGaga.com forum asking WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN when people walk out on her.

No disrespect to Bob, but I wouldn't expect to see some of them supporting Bob at all. Waits and Springsteen couldn't. There'd be too much of a demand for them. They wouldn't get away with playing 75 minutes too. I said Petty because I'd love to see it like it was done before. Heartbreakers as the 'House Band'.

I would love it if Carolina Chocolate Drops would support Dylan for an entire tour, a wonderful fresh take on many of the musical sources that Dylan draws on.

Well, if I could somehow convince myself to go to another show, i'd like to see him pair up with John prine. that would be pretty cool.

I'm partial to Lucinda Williams. Neil Young idea sounds nice.

makes me think of other good nostalgic pairings:

Lou Reed, Paul McCartney without backing band.
Robbie Robertson or Black Dub anyone?

or drumroll please..

Levon Helm Band

Muttley. Or maybe a triple-header with Scooby Doo.

Strong rumour amongst the real fans is that next double header will be with Jackob Dylan, ending the show with a duet section. Glastonbury 2012 is penciled in.
