Geoff, I fear I must agree with you, although Reg Meuross has heard an unedited tape of his mate Pete Townsend's 'Corrina Corrina' and reckons its great but then
1) It's not really a Dylan song, is it?
2) Would you pick a strawberry out of a dog turd and eat it?

Well, ain't this something. The lovely Avett Brothers added some additional tracks to Johnny Cash's last recordings when they were working with Rick Ruben, and one of these is now being added to The Chimes of Freedom tribute. The entire thing will be available for listening online for 24 hours.

(The Avett Brothers next release due to be released sometime in the first half of 20!2 will again be produced by RR)

Bob Dylan's doing "Chimes Of Freedom". The old version or a new one?

One Too Many Mornings sounds great to me. They are using the original Cash/Dylan track with Scott on banjo, Seth taking the second verse and sharing a line in the third, and then some really nice harmonies with all of them on the last chorus.

Yeah, not as annoying as I thought it'd be. She doesn't sound a damn thing like she does on her other stuff.

Is Sting serious there, or is he joking? It's horrible!

argh, Sting changed the lyric from 'north country fair' to 'north country farm' & it sounds odd.

Corrina, Corrina sounds great, despite the semantic debate.

Diana Krall (I can't believe she's almost 50) brought out the sadness of "Simple Twist of Fate" nicely.

whether it's technically a Dylan cover or just a cover of a traditional that Dylan had done...

listening to Twist right now, lovely, as was Wheel.

oh, i hadn't seen that video, thanks!

I don't think they'd use a song like that in Glee. It's too subtle and nuanced for that show.
