I thought it was Carol Dennis. I'll have to go look at it again. Haven't really studied cover art in quite some time.

To me, she does look like Peggi Blu. The high cheekbones in particular. There is a picture on Peggi's webpage of her and Bob at Farm Aid that's been posted here before. I just never knew who it was with him.

Yeah, it's written somewhere, a book or a magazine, Oh Thick One. I'll bet we read it in the same place. I think CBS was married to Burt Bacharach and is a buddy of Carol Childs, who it also might be. Or Clydie King? Gossip is not my forte. I'm sticking with Carolyn Dennis for now.

Now look here... it is not Emmylou Harris. I am getting fed up saying it! Emmylou Harris is much older looking than the woman in the photograph... it is not her.

It is either one of two carol's or a carole... hell, with so many carol's it's beginning to feel like christmas!

One possibility, that everyone seems to have ignored, is that the lady in question is Drew Barrymore... it would make sense as I have a hunch that Dylan married Drew back in the early 80's.

Could people please post some more pictures of Emmylou Harris just to absolutely confirm that she isn't the attractive black woman on the back cover of Empire Burlesque?

It looks as if it's the same lady on the back page of the Down In The Groove album booklet.

I think it looks like Anjani Thomas, Leonard Cohen's girlfriend. Couldn't find a fitting photo at the moment.
