If you don't want to give your money to either Bob or Sony/Columbia, and yet want to buy something that you might have already, get the Minneapolis Party Tape....

Really curious as to what will be on the 8 cd and dvd set. Not so much to purchase it, but what are they repackaging? At some point it will cease to be a greatest hits package and just become a random collection of songs.

I imagine it will be the studio albums to cover the years 1961-1966: 'Bob Dylan', 'The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan', The Times They Are A-Changin', 'Another Side Of Bob Dylan', 'Bringing It All Back Home', 'Highway 61 Revisited' and the double album 'Blonde On Blonde'.

The two CD set tracklisting covers those years too.

As for the DVD. Probably 'Don't Look Back'.

I won't buy it, but as a starter kit for newbies, 25€ isn't that much to pay for all the albums up to '66.

I hope to be going to the exhibition, though.

Especially if they're the mono versions.

Nothing from Christmas in the Heart??

Seriously.... it's a little odd having a TWO CD DISC SET of Just the early to mid 60's stuff.

2 CDs of 60's stuff?

Maybe each one will come with a pack of Gauloises ciggies! Smoke these and sound like Bob!

It's the time span the exhibition deals with, and I guess you can sell 2 (or 8) CDs for more money than you can 1.

Artwork now up at Amazon.co.uk and Amazon.com

From what can be seen it looks like the first 7 albums with the "Other Side Of The Mirror" dvd.

A few photos of the exhibition... I don't think it's his first concert, if that's what it means to say. Most of the photos seem to be well known ones, too.

Still, they look so great, don't they? I love black and whites against that vivid blue. I wish I could afford to make a gallery wall in my apt. :)

There's definitely not enough wall space here to contain his beauty.

Lest my previous post be perceived as overly snarky/sarcastic, I actually ordered the TWO CD DISC SET of the L'explosion for these reasons:

1.) 60's Bob is cool
2.) send a few schillings to Expectingrain.com (I ordered from the link on the front page)
3.) repeat #1

Also ...

I "think" this is the FIRST legit compilation of TWO Cds worth of JUST 60's material, which is an intriguing thought.
