The caption on that photo is wrong. It was Harvard Square, not Howard.

I know, I was there. I could'nt get in, but had a nice chat with the truck driver for the tour out back behind the theater in an alley. He told me Bob likes to drive when he gets the chance.

My brother and his girlfriend got in during the initial crush by flashing a couple of grocery receipts. Joan Baez waved to me from inside her limo leaving afterwords. It was stuck in traffic, and I leaned against the dark tinted rear window to see inside. At the right angle, I say her smiling and waving at me. Nice.

When Bob was leaving in the tour bus, he spotted a street musician on the sidewalk and hung out the bus window waving to him in a spastic way.

I'm entirely not sure I'd get in a car, or on a motorcycle, if Bob was driving.

Hiya, chrome: Yeah, leave it to the Herald to get it wrong. :? I worked at the Globe for years.

Sorry you didn't make it inside. I woud love to have heard all about it. What does your brother say about having attended? I have a brother who went to a couple of shows and didn't care much for either. Other than the portions that featured Bob, he had no interest in any of the other artists, except for maybe one or two.

I had an opportunity to attend that Harvard Square theatre show and turned it down. I had "plans". I hope he was good.

I still love Harvard Square; all the bookstores and buskers, etc.

Just think, if we'd known each other then, we coulda gone to the show together! That woulda been a lot of fun.

Hay Babe, great to hear from you!!!!!!!!!! You're right, that would have been faaaantaaaastic!!!!!

My brother loved the show. I caught the one in Lowell. I ran into a friend there from BU, Brian Stibal, who was doing his own Bob fanzine at the time(I think it was called "Talkin' Bob Zimmerman Blues"). Early in the show, when others were performing, I noticed Bob to the side kind of behind a curtain watching the show. I pointed him out to Brian, who immediately went over to him, and scared him away. Sorry Bob!

I love Harverd Sq. too - used to go there a lot. Unfortunately, haven't been there in a couple of years. There's a fantastic, and very affordable, Tex-Mex place there - The Border Cafe. Highly reccomended.
