the Grammy eligibility year for 2012 cuts off Sept. 30th, 2012
and to avoid Bruce and Paul's earlier 2012 releases that should garner Grammy attention---

I would venture a Christmas (Oct-Nov) release to coincide with the rumored giganto box set and 2013 Grammy consideration?

sigh.... here's to the long wait

"love and theft" had a really fast turn around time from recording (May) to release (Sept).

If the album is really strong and Bob is committed to hitting the road with this collection, I think summer. I remember Empire Burlesque as the soundtrack to the summer of 1985.

This takes me back as well... what a great summer! And to think he followed that up in July 1986 with Knocked Out Loaded!

Man he was on a roll!!! What a decade!


I think the new album will roll out in time for the fall tour.

What WOULD have been cool is if he released this album on the exact date of his first album which is what march 19th.. tomorrow? But it appears he is a few months behind.
