Thinking about that first album, released 50 years ago today.. and realized that I've actually seen him play three songs from it. It's not an album he's gone back to a whole lot, so its a bit of 'luck of the draw' that I've seen them. I've seen a fair number of shows since my first in 1978 (about 72 shows, i think?- list is posted here somewhere) and here's what I've seen from the first album

7/17/86 Madison Square Garden (w/Petty)- last encore- 'house of the risin' sun'
4/13/97 Wm Paterson College, Wayne NJ- (first tour with larry campbell) 'pretty peggy-o'
11/13/99- meadowlands, NJ- 'song to woody (acoustic)

anyone see any others?

'Song To Woody' - London 2000. First line just Dylan, playing and singing on his own....tantalising, beautiful, sad.

glad you got to see it- a song he should have returned to more often, of course.

I heard him sing Man of Constant Sorrow in Hammersmith 1990. Lovely it was too.

I lied about one of those two. But seriously, wouldn't that of been something.

House of the Risin' Sun. Newcastle, England, April 12, 2007. I couldn't believe he was actually performing it.

I would kill to see him do Song for Woody. Part of me still believes he will pull it out again someday.

"Pretty Peggy-O" here in Pittsburgh in '92. I had also told people for years that he sang "Song to Woody" on that night, but upon finding the set list & a boot many years ago, I find that he hadn't sang it. I could swear he did & I dunno why I thought I heard it. I don't even drink or use drugs. But for some reason I was sitting there hallucinating.

It isn't much, but it was fun - "Pretty Peggy-O" on July 2, 1988 in Mansfield, MA.

I was at that show. It was still called Great Woods in those days right?
