Anyone hear it? Does it sound like the previous Half-Speed Master? I believe they were both done by the same company.

It hasn't been released yet, has it? It was announced for February but I think they postponed the release for a couple of months. Troubadour knows more about it.

Wouldn't that be great, half-speeds for everyone? :)

I read something like December, but I guess it hasn't been yet.

I wrote an email to the company who is releasing this - they are out of Chicago. They have plans to release about 4 or 5 dylan albums and some other artists. The email said they hope to begin releasing by the end of 2012....I think it was BoTT, BoB, BIABH, Basement Tapes, and maybe another....but i don't expect them all at once. They have a good track record for sound quality in what they've released so far.

I think Another Side, as they have that listed on their site.

that's right, i opened up the link after i posted. this looks like a new announcement from them, so perhaps they are getting close to production. all of the titles had been posted to Amazon in January, but removed by february. I am eager to know if the older ones are stereo or mono. I think BIABH & BoB would be desirable in both.

The important thing here is to find out if they are using the master that runs at the original speed (e.g. 2% slower than the sped-up regular release). Does anyone know?

This is now available. Did anyone find out if the half-speed master was used? Has anyone order it yet and listened?

edit: it actually still says TBA but there was not an ADD TO CART button the last time I checked

According to Amazon, it is to be released November 27. Maybe that's a pre-order at musicdirect?

Doc Rob's rip is very clean and precise, but I prefer JTT's rip, for its warmth and romantic feel.

Anyway, Doc Rob hasn't rupped the reissue we're talking about, so we dont know if MF have used the same original master tapes until we hear it.

Just to say that amazon just informed me that this has been delayed yet again, to February 2013 this time.
Gonna cancel my order.... they can notify me if it ever comes out.

Pussies and woosies talking money and politics again in the world of Blood On The Tracks remasters. Playin' their feeble game.
