That's a great version of Thin Man, and on Organ as well, he sounds vocally quite strong

He sounds lovely here! Especially on Forgetful Heart. Thank you!

I wish he would attempt to sing some songs acoustic. I love hearing his voice in the forefront.

Mainly to Mr Joe, wondering aloud when Bob started playing gigs for people at home enjoying the setlists and/or recordings. But it's useless saying that, it's the same every tour. Had there been internet in 1966, or 1975, it might have been the same. It's not like he's playing bad songs, then or now.

Oh, ok, yes, I meant the opposite of that, and I see where he has answered you now.

Carolina! You rock! Thanks for sharing the vids, photos, article. Very sweet.
Sounds good to me. Getting a little funky on Thin Man around 3:40ish and ending all carnival-like. Reverb all over the place now. Forgetful Heart seemed like it slowed a click. These vids made me very happy tonight, so THANKS!

Though I would rather listen to someone who actally can play the blues.

wanker, it's x bob dylan for godsake, you should be lucky he's still touring the world and playing timeless classics. people say i wonder john lennon or elvis would be doing he was still alive, and we should be grateful we don't have to say that about bob.

Listening to Forgetful Heart right now, I really cannot see how people think it's a bad show because he's playing songs more than once per tour....

Grrr! :) Nobody has affirmed that it was a bad show, we just say that the setlist is incredibly boring.

Good shows aren't usually boring. Well, unless it's MK. *ducks*

no good quality, but it's something
The lady said that she used the mic from ipod with some "uhuuu"s

https://rapidshare.com/#!download|406p9|823806394|Bob_Dylan_-_Rio_de_Janeiro__15_04_2012_|553457|R~2887F891531B14E7B7FC2A7CAC010A74|0|0

I believe it's good to share because the music is the better report about the show.

Bob's show now is 'Bob Dylan - Live in his Comfort Zone.' And why not? As Benny points out, a manageable, comfortable routine is probably just what a 70-year-old is looking for. Must be boring for the band, though.

As far as the dwindling pool of songs goes - this seems a very practical move, given that he can no longer sing. A core of twelve-bar numbers which can be shouted/barked, and the odd ballad that doesn't require too much work on melody. Plus they're all songs he's done to death and therefore has few problems remembering the words to. The players in the band provide zero challenge to his authority, they're all guys he presumably gets on with - so why change things at this point?

In short, Bob is doing what he's pretty much always done: exactly what he wants. The difference now is that this involves absolutely no risk - except perhaps the risk of his voice giving up completely.

I love Bob Dylan, but just can't see what's to get excited about in the live show these days. Never before, I would venture to suggest, has the 'seeing him in person'/'being in the same room'/'oh look he grinned!' factor been so little challenged, as a reason for seeing Bob, by any musical considerations. Without wanting to rain on the parade of those going to multiple shows, I just can't hear enough in the music (much less the singing) that would warrant that kind of repeated listening. But you get to see him in a different hat, or a different mood, slightly more/less smiley, etc. Perhaps, for some, that's enough. But I suspect those people don't listen to enough other music...

Nice, those videos. That 'Dark Side Of The Moonish' backdrop is kinda cool; sounds like he's up to his usual tricks (which is not bad at all, in my book). Is the organ sound different?

I've seeen Bob dozens & dozens of times, going back to 1978. Some shows have been better than others but there hasn't been a time when he's come on stage that I'm not excited to see him performing and in continued good health. I'm still interested in what he does because he remains a relavant artist among a lot the fuking drivel that's being recorded now. There's some good that's coming out but there's loads of crap, too.

Some people don't like to go to Bob's concerts now. I get that. But I'll keep going as long as he wants to keep performing. His ticket prices in the states usually cost me about $70 (on average). I can spend 70 bucks on other things without breaking a sweat - it's my pleasure to spend it on something I love. And I always attend multiple shows.

You probably see me as a fangirl. That's okay - I have no shame. Every time I get the chance to see Bob again, it's like meeting up with an old friend again. I doubt this far into my fandome, I'll ever change. I offer no apologies. When he comes out to perform his first song & I'm in the audience, I still think I'm the luckiest person in the world.
