That's what i understand and hope. It's seems to be kind of a literary festival.

I think there will be literary things during the day and a single concert at night.

Can you find out anything about previous years' concerts at that festival? Just to see if it is usually GA or seated. My Italian is a bit.... nonexistent.

Collisioni 2011 was in May and was free, cannot find if there were seats (because it was free).

From the pictures, presumely taken last year, it's GA somewhere out in the fields, or rather in the hills (small ones, of course), for colli means hills. They are growing wine there, very expensive, by the way. Barolo itself is such a small kaff, I can't think of any event taking place within the village.

Piazzola sul Brenta wasn't big.... well, it was moved to Padova eventually, but that one was real tiny as well.

I've found this video: http://vimeo.com/24409201

It was GA, but it was free and "Caparezza" is a different kind of artist.

But this

I have taken from this years's site.

Still I can't believe that our Mr. Dylan will play there "without distinction between artists and audience, without tickets to enter: a countryside open and global"

It also say it was made for young people, so tickets are supposed to be cheap.

Young people can stand on their feet, so it will be GA, so it will be good. :P
I hope.

And he's gonna spare the defeated, boys, he's going to speak to the crowd, he's goin' to teach peace to the conquered and he's gonna tame the proud.

Once I thought he said "I'm gonna spit to the crowd"   Maybe he will this time.

How long can young people do so in the blistering sun of 40 degrees Celsius without the smallest spot of shadow?

Just asking.

You been to shows in Italy? They bring enough to eat and drink in big backpacks every time. They'll be fine. Apart from that, more often than not we get rain in Italy when Bob is there.

Now i'm thinking: If there's hope for more spanish shows even though the festival of Benicassim said it would be exclusive, why can there be no hope for more UK shows after Carhaix, as the man who rules the Hop Farm is the same person who rules Benicassim (Vince Power)? I mean the contracts are the same, and the way to pass them must be the same..
(I haven't heard any real rumor yet)

No, but I was in Barolo in July (2001, I should have been in Taormina then, but that's another story) and it was so very hot, it was a pain to be out of your room.
You might or might not (rather not, I believe) have been in Cologne in 1994. It was a cold winter day in comparison.

How can I reach Barolo best if I wanna travel by plane? Maybe with plane until torino, and then?

I was 11 years old in 1994 and didn't like oldie music at all. My English wasn't very good either.

Plane to Turin, then train to Asti, then another train to Alba then free bus to Barolo. That's the only way.
