I was thinking of making some custom t-shirts for this summer, and was hoping to get some input here.

I already made this one:

What texts would you put on it?

Thanks!

"Good luck, I hope you make it."

-the complete quote is:
" All my songs have the same ending: Good luck, I hope you make it."

That's from a filmed interview, right? It's great - I've always loved that quote, and the way he smiled after he said it. Thanks for the memory!!

The interviewer had asked him why so many of his songs were negative, bleak, something like that. Classic Dylan comeback!

- No! i didn't know the quote was from a filmed interview... i'd sure like to see that interview.
...I read it in a book; can't remember which one, off the top of my head.

Definitely, it is my favorite Dylan quote...it speaks to his soul. :D

The book must have taken it from the film. I think it was in the 60's when he was in England, but not sure. One of the ithe wizards here will hopefully dredge it up............

"Good luck, I hope you make it" would definitely be my choice - best quote ever, and certainly what I would say to anyone on the long strange trip it's been...... so good luck folks, hope you make it! :)

Found this with Google-

" This last is coined to deal with a claim by Dylan, made in 1965, that every song of his "tails off with--'Good Luck--I hope you make it.'"

and -

"All my songs basically say is 'Good luck.' They all tail off at the end with 'good luck, hope you make it'. ” — Bob Dylan, 1965 SF press conference."

Found this on a Hiway 61 vinyl signed by Bob Dylan.

I have often longed for a short sleeved, white Dylan t-shirt that had, in black 'Ariel' size 24 font print, the line "I could be unraveling wherever I'm traveling...".

I am certain that a t-shirt bearing this line would generate huge interest and many folk would desire to own such an article of casual wear.

I think the most elegant solution would be the simple quote

"It won't suck itself, ladies"

, taken of course from the shelved Jack Daniels' sponsored 1991 album Where Did I Put My Pants? What, they're On My Head? And How Did I Get To Be Flying This Helicopter?

That's awesome. I have a shirt that says "Everybody Must Get Stoned" on the back, only because I saw a picture of that ass from the Transformers films with one.

"i was so much older then, i'm younger than that now." and a photoshopped picture of 2012 Bob's head on the body of a 10 year old in blue shorts, a striped tee-shirt, and a red bicycle.

Whilst I do like this suggestion, I do have some reservations about the concept.

Firstly, would it not be more appropriate to have the head of a 10 year old photoshopped on to the body of Bob Dylan as he is today?

I do realise that it may be difficult to find a photo of modern-day Dylan dressed in blue shorts, striped t-shirt, riding a red bicycle... but no-one said that this would be easy... yes, maybe we will have to sift through thousands of Dylans photo's to find one that meets our criteria... but, that's how it's got to be.

If a t-shirt is worth doing, it's worth doing properly!

I have other reservations... the obvious being the colour of the bicycle... and whether or not the image should feature Dylan sporting a cycle helmet... but we can argue about that at a later stage.
