Well , how about that Titanic song ? Only yesterday i was thinking that it's been a while since Bob wrote an epic song . There weren't any in TTL .

Yea well, but TTL was written to order for that film soundtrack, or was leftovers from that. This new one, hopefully, will be an independent project.

Was just thinking today...I wonder
if there'll be any Spanish language
stuff on there, as he did on Desire.
It being a mexican flavored album,
it's not at all impossible.
Did not Bob not have a crack at
latin on CIIT?

some great music on there. back when crazy country folk used to wear suits. if i had a time machine id grab a handful of dollar bills and some mics and go back to new orleans circa 1928 and listen to rabbit brown until i collapsed from exhaustion. his sinking of the titanic and the mystery of the dunbar child are as great as anything stephen king ever wrote. nobody knows too much about him, he coulda been shakespeare reborn.

"Forgetful Heart" is short, but still epic. It's in my personal Dylan Top 10.

thank you. rabbit browns titanic should be there. that is monster track.
i love him. hopefully the mystery of the dunbar child is there. great song.
based on a true story. there is an npr audio where they investigate that story how after so many years the child was not kidnapped at all, and the rich folks actually stole a poor familys child for their own.

In an interview around that time he said that he sang some of his songs in different languages for different countries, but none saw the light of day. German was one of them I believe.

It was in an interview about Christmas in the Heart:
"I’ve sung in French, Italian and Spanish. Over the years, Columbia has asked me to do records in those languages and I recorded stuff here and there. None of the tracks have been released though. It’s hard deciding whether to do a translation of one of my own songs, or an original song in one of those languages – which I’m actually more partial to. I’ve always wanted to do some Edith Piaf songs." :lol:

But well, he said some songs were recorded, would be good for a bootleg series..
