And one I hadn't come across before which sure brought a smile to my face... From Daniel Epstein's book The Ballad of Bob Dylan. Epstein says that in June 01, while touring Italy, Bob got his hands on the finished album and proudly presented copies to the band (the same band he had recorded with). An unidentified band member attributes Bob as saying:

"Here is our record. You are never going to hear a tighter motherfucker..."

Diamond quote.

I heard johanna say nearly the same thing as that a few days ago! his most realized success I think were the words. And, I was just about to start that book last night!

Ask us in 200 years...it's certainly one of the albums (by anyone) that I've enjoyed most.

In 200 years, i wish that people will have understand the entire Bob's Art (with a big, big A !!!). I promise you, that his paints will be in a museum, and students will have to learn Bob as we learn Shakespeare, or Rimbaud !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry, but i'm very angry with the many things has been said about Bob's Art.

Based on extant genetic devolution associated neurological and cognitive brain shrinkage research, extrapolated predictions suggest the human species will embrace Bob Dylan's "Love & Theft" albums as "not bad" in approximiately 864 years.

The planet Earth is expected to be destroyed in 2089.

First law of ER:
Do not take anything Bennyboy says seriously, esp whenever it concerns the years since 1977.

He may have said it, but I don't believe that Dylan said it this way. Sorry.

Reminds me of the time he told Arthur Baker that Empire Burlesque was "fandabbydozzy!" in a high pitched Scottish accent.

I think you'll find Tony tweeted that rumour to hype up sales.

Diamond quote.
Not sure that Bob said this or not but the continuation of quote was "or a better record... EVER!"

And of course, he is absolutely right.

I agree with you Tellmemomma (don't laughing please...).

We are all battling against the restrictions placed upon us by our own mortality. Bob too.
But he could done this battle in others ways (write books, paints, movies etc.). I think he knows too, that many people have need to see him on stage and he has always give his heart to his fans and much more... I don't agree at all with people said that Bob doesn't like his fans.
Beeing on stage, playing, singing, writing is just his life on earth. He is a real troubadour (like we say in france), may be the last one.

I bet Bob has paid to have himself frozen cryogenically when he dies. Like a likkle singer-songwriter ice lolly.
