Way too expensive now. Just get an old <360 Sound> Columbia album, and a decent bit of kit to play it on and you're there.

Think I'd have to go with "one of the bad ones." I've probably played 'Down in the Groove' and 'Knocked Out Loaded' twice a piece, if that. There's no reason to listen to bad music if you don't have to.

If I was to get an album I'm not going to play, I'd get it at a yard sale. :wink:

This one takes the biscuit. Enough books to start the sectioned wing of a Dylan library, but doesn't own H61R. You couldn't make it up.

She's either a masterpiece of trolling, or perhaps the most deluded Dylan fan in the universe.

Good morning, Ben. All the songs off it I need to hear, I hear live, regularly. They call it the NET. It's good, you should try it.

I dont need good luck - I have a copy of Bob Dylan's somewhat well known and justifiably lauded album Highway 61 Revisited.

You might want to check it out.

Yours has a dish towel on his head. Your argument is invalid. :mrgreen:

I never play Desire, either. :|

Nice bit of racism there, JP.

My least played studio album (that I actually have a copy of) would be Empire Burlesque.

@Ben
At least it wasn't sexist, beside having nothing to do with what you claim. Do you honestly think it had any deeper meaning than the previous year's make-up craze?

Benny Boy raises an interesting point though JP. Are you just trolling?

No, of course it had no deep meaning - its well known that Dylan began wearing the Arab headdress (a keffiyeh, secured by an agal rope) after he had some work done at home... to quote T Bone Burnett:
"Just before Dylan left on the second leg of the tour, he was putting a brick wall round his house and all the bricklayers had those rags 'round their heads to stop them getting concrete and varioius bits of plaster or whatever in their hair. Dylan went out there to help these guys and out of that we got the babushka headdress or whatever hell it's called, and then he just kept it on for the road"

Dishrag, keffiyeh, babushka - call it what you will....you'd have to be mentally unhinged to think he looks sexier at 71 in a suit and sunglasses than at 35 on the Hard Rain stage.

@arthurprecarious:
Not anymore than he is. I made several valid suggestions on this thread, even though I still think it's devoid of logic.

1st Prague '95
Nara '94
Interstate '88
I really like '99 as a touring year as well, but again couldn't pick one single show.

@Ben:
Now what? It was still a fashion item to him. To his credit, it does look better on him than on everyone else on stage.

I prefer the songs live. I do listen to RTR stuff, both '75 and '76.

I can kind of understand that but...... Black Diamond Bay, Oh Sister, Hurricane, Mozambique... rarely or never played live!

Hurricane and Oh Sister were played throughout the '75 tour, same with Mozambique the following year.

Everyone stop hating on JP.
He just prefers the modern stuff from Bob, my dad does too, and he's a big of fan of Dylan just as much as me. Anyway his modern is some of his best work he's done, Love and Theft is a masterpiece, same for Modern Times, and Time Out of Mind, and regardless what anyone says TTL is a beautiful work of art. Some of "ModBobs" best songs for me are;

"Bye & Bye"
"Floater"
"Moonlight"
"Po' Boy"
"Sugar Baby"
"Standing in the Doorway"
"Love Sick"
"Highlands"
"Make You Feel My Love"
"Sprit On The Water"
"Ain't Talkin"
"Nettie Moore"
"Beyond Here Lie's Nothin"
"Life Is Hard"
"Forgetful Heart"
"I Feel A Change Coming On"

all the albums are masterpieces. I've said this before and I'll say it again, every release he's ever done to me is a beautiful masterpiece, Bob is my god, he's all I listen to. And I listen to every album he's done all with equal respect. There's not one song he's done you can't say a good thing about. But hey, that's my opinion. Just like all yours.
