Zigging back west we move towards the 20th show of the '2012 Never Ending Tour' which takes place along the Rhine River in Bonn, Germany. Last time I was in Bonn it was the capital of West Germany. It's a prime Watching The River Flow town with a little bit of Bob spirit.

As web-translated from: http://www.kunstrasen-bonn.de/veranstaltung00128.html
Bonn, GERMANY - Bob Dylan is considered the rock era, as the incarnation of a counter-culture, and songwriter of the century's most important individual artist without a doubt. The recording artist means "for pop music the same as Einstein for Physics", wrote the US news magazine Newsweek. The numerous Grammy Awards, for his life's work documenting the global impact of this brilliant singer/songwriters. The pioneer of folk and rock music, the total circulation is more than 110 million records, plays in July in Bonn, Germany. Bob Dylan invented again and again, changed, transferred the direction, popped off to rise then again meteoric. Dylan did not monopolize, he designated tempo, rhythm and content. He defined ideals, fears, moods of generations with his songs. Literary quality awarded him the poetry of his lyrics and the lyrics of his songs, his sharp observation and political understanding made him the natural voice of youth, whose departure he in the 1960s with initiated and accompanied. Dylan songs are not only classic but realistic poetry. Many of them are entered in the American literature: "the times they are A-Changin'", "Blowin' in the wind", "Like a Rolling Stone", "A hard rain's A-gonna fall", "Chimes of Freedom" - just to name a few. "Blowin' in the wind", the most famous song from the pen of Bob Dylan, describes the feeling of life his generation. This song, written in the early 1960s by countless artists such as Joan Baez and Pete Seeger interpreted, founded his myth. The New York Times described him as the "Shakespeare of the 20th century". Bob Dylan, actually named Robert Allan Zimmerman, was born in the village of Duluth (Minnesota) and raised in the nearby mining town of Hibbing, achieved an effect as before and after him no second protagonist of popular culture. His freed the rock music of their banality.

By special request of Mr T 64 who imposed a vow of silence:

Quote Troubadour: "I hope they play Yankee Doodle Dandee...with special guest Denny!"

Tears of Rage seems like the ideal song to play, but may offend the non-Americans.

We carried you in our arms
On Independence Day
And now you’d throw us all aside
And put us on our way
Oh what dear daughter ’neath the sun
Would treat a father so
To wait upon him hand and foot
And always tell him, “No?”
Tears of rage, tears of grief
Why must I always be the thief?
Come to me now, you know
We’re so alone
And life is brief

We pointed out the way to go
And scratched your name in sand
Though you just thought it was nothing more
Than a place for you to stand
Now, I want you to know that while we watched
You discover there was no one true
Most ev’rybody really thought
It was a childish thing to do
Tears of rage, tears of grief
Must I always be the thief?
Come to me now, you know
We’re so low
And life is brief

It was all very painless
When you went out to receive
All that false instruction
Which we never could believe
And now the heart is filled with gold
As if it was a purse
But, oh, what kind of love is this
Which goes from bad to worse?
Tears of rage, tears of grief
Must I always be the thief?
Come to me now, you know
We’re so low
And life is brief

I would love him to play Life is Hard one day, but I don't think it's gonna happen...Bring back Ain't Talkin'! I'm looking forward to seeing what other surprises he has up his sleeve. I really want to see some of footage of the last two gigs.

Hopefully, although I love It Ain't Me, Babe, something out of the ordinary would be great, like She Belongs to Me. Can't believed he that! Still haven't heard the last two shows, is there any footage yet? or recording? Absolutely Sweet Marie would be a great surprise!

Hey Isis, it may be ridiculously funny, but wouldn't it be somethin' if this did get pulled out?
Never played live, or certainly not since the coffeehouse days.
Meanwhile, I think this show kicks off in 1.5 hours. I'm hoping for a different opener every night, but I think it'll be Leopard, or River again, if I had to guess...

It would! It's my favourite song from the debut. I could just imagine his band and him right now doing it. I think it will River though tonight! Wish I was there.
