Where's the interview, Johanna?

It was in La Stampa newspaper, but only in the region around Barolo, apparently. We stopped the next morning to get the paper, but only found a review that didn't mention what I said. So I bought only one copy since it had nice photos from the concert. Back in the car, I found there was a second article that mentioned where I'm from and that I'd arrived from Nimes that morning for my 179th concert, etc. I tried to read it, it was in Italian of course even though he interviewed me in English.... so they wrote something about Bob being my idolo. We had great fun making up word games about seeing my idolo in Barolo. We stopped again at the next rest stop to buy more copies of the paper for me to show off to my relatives, but it was already a different regional edition of the paper which had only the concert review, not the other article. It was just before they opened the gates, so I had to cut it short.

Bob in profile, probably around 1969-1970.

Look at the cartilage at the tip of Bob's nose (easiest to see this in profile). On the other guy, nose cartilage drops much lower than Bob's does.

Look at Bob's chin, which is not prominent (again, easiest to see this in profile). On the other guy, a big jutting chin.

Things that don't change about your face - things not mutable except through plastic surgery - cartilage (in nose and ears), basic bone structure (like nose, chin and jaw).

Awesome. This week, we also had Queen Anne Lace quoted in the New York Times.

Here is a larger version of that picture. It is Bob taken by Barry Feinstein. It was probably one of Pennebaker's cameras. If I remember right there are more, similar images and maybe even a clip of him with the camera in Eat The Document.

No, he sat there with legs apart, like umm.... horseback riding, so no jacket there, just nice white pants, but no open fly unfortunately.

No, but you'll love seeing him like this. A friend said it looks like he's riding side-saddle, but he's not. He's riding man style.

I don't post on this thread often (actually, yesterday was the first time, I think), but that's a terrific shot. The rarity of a color photo from that time, makes it stricking. Thanks for posting it.

It's weird, isn't it, to think of these times as black and white? I know I do.... as if the Beatles only devepoled color after '66.

I've never thought of anything as black and white. But...I know what ya mean. I was actually stunned when I first saw a picture of the Beatles in color. I had just assumed they were pale lads. Rainy Liverpool, and all. 8)
