Would any of you spend your hard-earned cash on maybe a set of Dylan figures from the various periods of his storied career? Folk-Bob,Hipster-Bob,Dad-Bob,RTR Bob.etc. I certainly would and so would a lot of other folks. They give all this crap instead.

I think they'd be great. Why they could have blowup ones for the women - anotomically
correct of course.

I'd be first in line buying a few of those... just sayin'

then i wouldn't leave the house for a few days...

I'd buy one for my car... 30 for my house... one for my parent's house... and stick it on my mom's couch without pants like I used to do with my Donnie doll from Donnie and Marie Osmond. I really haven't changed much in my line of thinking, have i...hm

A cheap alternative to buying expensive Dylan dolls is to cut out pictures of Dylan's face from magazines and then paste the cut-out face onto the head of an Action Man doll... or for the more subversive type of person, paste his face onto the head of a Barbie doll!

i'd buy 'em, but only if they looked naff. I'd arrange them atop a speaker, so RTR Bob was kicking Modbob in the goolies.

i used to have one of them, i think its the submariner action man. all mine used to be disfigured as i parachuted them from the top of a local block of flats. the parachute they sold never worked, so i made one from string and a carrier bag. funnily enough that didnt work either.

I would buy them, even the modbob version, as long as it didn't sing or play keyboards.

Sounds slightly less exciting than the My Dinner With Andre action figures marketed by Corky St. Clair.

Action figures aren't much fun without the action. So I suggest:

1966 motocycle Bob with "sun-dazzled eyes" feature (a bit like action man eagle eyes, but more squinty). Pull back and go and crash feature.

Or of course to get the action you could always bring in a few villains:

A.J. Weberman. Crazed fan comes with 2 weapon accessories: garbage can lid and hefty Dylan to English dictionary.
Pete Seeger. Righteous defender of acoustic music comes with workshop axe. Power cables not included - seek parental permission if severing cables in the home.
Donovan. Evil Dylan mimic. Pull a chord and sings lyrics from Catch the Wind, Colours, Mellow Yellow and other hits.
Satan. Enemy of religious Bob and arch-enemy of us all. Can be used in the deluxe Niagra Falls playset.
Gina Gershon with boxing gloves. Can Bob go 15 rounds with her?

Joan Baez: Only sings when the Bob Dylan doll is talking and writing.

It would have to be a piercing "Here comes the night, woooooo!".

I worked for McFarlane Toys and suggested a Dylan figure similar to their Jimi Hendrix and Jerry Garcia.

I pitched two versions, a 1966 figure and modern Bob. I always imagined it looking something like this:

Can't you see a 6 inch, plastic version of that sitting on your desk at work?! :)

I think that Milkcow would prefer a picture of Dylan's face pasted to the front of a dalek... although Milkcow is such a foxy, vibrantly seductive thing that I would be more than happy to paste a photo of Dylan's face over my ugly mug!... ... ... ... ... I wondef if it would work?
