It was from the song "Band Of The Hand"
A song which according to the lyrics books is included as addititional lyrics for this album . I admit to not using due diligence , but hope my record on this forum will excuse me.

For an offense such as this, forgiveness is abundant. Band In the Hand is a Knocked Out Loaded era piece and should have been part of the double release except Bob didn't do a double album. :(

People seldom do what they believe in. They just do what is most convenient, then repent.

Released on this date, August 8, 1986... Has it really been 25 years since this inspirational gem first hit the stands? I can think of no better way to celebrate the Silver Anniversary of Knocked Out Loaded's release than by listening to it start to finish.

Due to scheduling conflicts the Friends of the Knocked Out Loaded Fan Club is unable to meet on this date and will need to reconvene on another date. Our apologies to those who undoubtedly will be disappointed by this unfortunate conflict of events.

Discussion of all things Knocked Out Loaded is a wonderful way to honor and celebrate the occassion! :D

And in keeping with the title of the thread and the unfair manner in which Bob Dylan was savaged after the release of this oh too short studio work...

My God, they killed him!

As the topic and author of this thread suggests... this is something we Dylan fans should celebrate! 8) And I fully intend to do just that!

Better than Street Legal? I certainly have listened to it more than Street Legal... several hundred times more would not be an exaggeration but that may not qualify as "better".

This being the Silver Anniversary... what do you consider to be your top five songs from Knocked Out Loaded?

A southwestern masterpiece... I would allow for that... the photo, Brownsville Girl... but Bob did throw some other stuff in there... I never heard the beautiful steel drums in a southwestern song, mostly only in Carribean music. Under Your Spell could have a bit of a southwestern flair though...

I like it!

Drifting Too Far From Shore could have been a good song.

The rest is...abysmal.

Please, UP, why are you reverting to that habit of bumping so many old posts again? Do you wake up with itches you need to scratch?

Couldn't think of a better way to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of Bob's most under-appreciated gem...

Given the response I've witnessed, it appears that it may still be under-appreciated.

This would be a great time to mention that I've recently completed my Dylan studio release collection. By complete I mean to say I have every album except KOL

This would be incomplete, by the way...

I would offer to make you a cassette but I've played the LP so many times that it is half worn out... sometimes you can barely hear the music for the cracklin' taking place... :(

but its the result of countless hours of listening pleasure. :D

Excellent, you can barely hear the music...that sounds like just the sort of LP to make a copy from.

My favourite non-cannonical Bob Dylan album. It's worth noting how brilliantly Dylan sings at times on this release - Brownsville Girl (speech and song) and Under Your Spell are superlative performances.

Its a bit like an Edison cylinder recording... but if its the best you have, well... its better than no Knocked Out Loaded at all.
