Here are the Bob Dylan concerts that I have attended and my favorite track from each set.

Lexington, Kentucky: August 21, 2004
"Ballad of Hollis Brown" -- one of my favorite older Dylan tracks: lyrical genius

Lexington, Kentucky: August 15, 2006
favorite track: "It's Alright Ma (I'm Only Bleeding)" -- Dylan's refined grunts stuck in my head for weeks

Nashville, Tennessee: September 19, 2007
"Meet Me In The Morning" -- only time he's ever played this track... and Jack White was a star on vocals

Cincinnati, Ohio: October 15, 2007
"Ain't Talkin" -- a very menacing rendition... Dylan plays the villain well

Louisville, Kentucky: October 17, 2007
"Highway 61" -- the only Dylan show I've watched on Highway 61

Cincinnati, Ohio: August 22, 2008
"Nettie Moore" -- we still miss her

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania: September 8, 2008
"High Water (For Charley Patton)" -- I get excited as soon as I hear the banjo... they're still looking for Charles Darwin...

Elizabeth, Indiana: August 23, 2009
"The Lonesome Death of Hattie Carroll" -- another dark ballad

Tallahassee, Florida: October 11, 2010
"Forgetful Heart" -- I could swear the temperature dropped 30 degrees and he was a gunslinger as he delivered this dark number

Highland Heights, Kentucky: November 3, 2010
"Cold Irons Bound" -- one of my alltime favorites in a very balanced set

Last night in Santa Barbara.
He rocked the Bowl down - smiled the whole show.
Voice was clear and pierced to the heart.
A soul infusion!

Are you lucky bastards rich or just homeless?
I manage 1 or 2 shows a year and only from 2007 onwards. Before I wasn't aware that Dylan was on the road.

We discussed this a little on the Pool and here; it's not hard; just save and save your time for each tour; he tours in blocks of a year not straight. Then you can follow complete tours.

This is what I do.

So, it is a matter of conviction? I'm interested to understand on what this conviction is based, what do you get from following a complete tour instead of one or two shows a year. And I am not being ironic here, I'm dead serious, I'd really like to understand :?:

July 18, 2000 Tor, Ont. - Probably the best of the three show's i've seen..remember being so happy that "song to woody" and "desolation row" were 2 of the first three songs he played, couldn't believe it! I also remember loving the new lyrics to "gotta serve somebody" mentioning Madonna, and Cher, and saying something about a "garbage pale", i guess referring to Toronto's homeless situation at the time. Oh and being mistakin (i guess) for Dylan himself when we pulled up outside the venue in a limo! People just starting surrounding us, ha ha!

Aug 16, 2002 Tor, Ont. - This show wasn't bad (believe me I would tell you if i thought it sucked). I remember being really excited hearing "masters of war" and "I shall be released". I also remember freaking out at the opening cords to "watchtower" thinking it was "hurricane"! I hit the guy (stranger) next to me in excitement, lightly of course, to which he just laughed. Highlight of the show was definitely "tangled up in blue" with that stop/start big drums arrangement. Incredible. Loved it.

October 27, 2008 Calgary, AB - Not a very good show, and i'm being generous. The sound was really bad in the Saddledome for one, and his voice was very froggy, when you could hear it. He mumbled quite a bit too. Plus, i'm not a big fan of Dylan behind the keyboard, of which he was atleast 80% of the show. His voice seems to get even worse when he plays it, for some reason. I also remember the crowd were very negative. The people around me were very dissapointed, saying some pretty nasty things, and there wasn't much applause over all. I don't remember any booing though. But with all that being said there were highlights, "just like a women" (bob on guitar center stage) was amazing, and "tweedle dum & tweedle dee" was done really well.

well im by no means a regualar poster here and cannot speak for anyone else. but i assume it could be similiar for others, as it is for me. ive done a couple 'tours' whereby ive done 8 shows in a row. It may be based on obbsession or even addiction. you know when you have one piece of chocolate and you just have to have more? well bob is much better than chocolate!.. one concert is so transforming you just want "more an' more n' more"..Doing a run of shows is very exciting. you are travelling the same path Bob is travelling for a short period of time. you sometimes might be on the same plane as the band (although this is not a consideration. i merely mention as this has happened a few times and its an added bonus) being there each night feels like being closer than close. usually you are on the rail as well, as you learn the ropes each night. you become a part of the tour!.. rightly or wrongly, you feel an affinity with bob and the band. sometimes they recognise you .again, not what its about but another bonus that can happen. sometiimes you might get real lucky and bob will recognise you( in a nice way) Each show is a little different and theres always a chance of something special happening.these are just some possibilities people might do a run of shows.. Also you meet like minded bobnuts, doing the same thing or meet others, youve met on the net, just doing the one show. There is nothign else like it.. and once you've done it. you'll wonder why you didn't think of travelling to more than your local city before. I would do more if i could afford to.

Far too few...first time I saw him I was 12, last time was two days after my 24th birthday

Temple University, Philadelphia, 11.09.99
E Center, Camden, 07.28.00
First Union(now Wachovia) Center, Philadelphia, 11.15.02
Trocadero, Philadelphia, 03.31.04(the most powerful evening of live music of I've had the privilege of experiencing...I was maybe 20 feet from Dylan, staring into his eyes)
Reading, 08.23.06
Spectrum, Philadelphia, 11.18.06
Mann Center, Philadelphia, 08.17.11

All were incredible, top three Trocadero, Reading, Spectrum. Only one that wasn't a totally holy experience was Temple 99...sound was terrible, my young ears weren't attuned to Bob's live style, it just didn't connect. My next try, Camden 00, was a whole nother story and I became a disciple of live Bob. I can only regret all the opportunities to see him more that I've missed...resolved after the Mann show, my first in 5 years and one I nearly missed, not to let him pass through town without seeing him ever again

07/04/2007, massive show..
Montreal Ever since his 50th, every time Dylan's birthday hits a decade, a latent and lucrative cottage industry re-emerges, offering a plethora of new editions and re-releases bearing Dylan's shining moniker.
