Guernsey

Bob Dylan's 15th Dream / Bringing It All Back Home / 1965

Ah me I busted out
Don’t even ask me how
I went to get some help
I walked by a Guernsey cow
Who directed me down
To the Bowery slums
Where people carried signs around
Saying, “Ban the bums”

From Bryan Gray:
Guernsey is the second largest of the Channel Islands,
with a total area of 33 square miles.
Guernsey Cows are exclusively milk producers
and are known for the quality of dairy products they produce.
The Guernsey Cow is a very docile animal.
There are only around 20 herds remaining on the island.
From the 1950's onwards Guernsey Milk was exported to
the USA and Canada and was sold as a premium priced item.
