anyone else check it out? One of the more noticeable bob vocal colorings...just saying. Thanks to all the tapers and attendees.

He’s seemingly been more prone to vocal experiments this short tour than I can recall recently. Pay in blood has some pretty bad ass vocal runs happening. Even masterpiece which I think has been weakest song of this set has got some fresh life about of it. Loving this stretch of shows big time

FYI, there's an entire forum dedicated to "discuss rare recordings"...

Agree. This show stood out for me as well. Strong and playful vocals. Good capture too. Can't Wait from London 12 July is pretty badass too.

Hamburg is indeed ace.

Stuttgart - Bach's recording - is even acer.

7/10 is a better recording for sure. Equally playful vocals. 7/5 & 7/10 are my two so far. Hamburg performance may be a stick of nag better. Need to sit with 7/10 another day. Waiting for last show listening party.

Thanks for these recommendations... just what I needed.

.....

Must confess I overdid with the '18 fall recordings over the winter and in turn have been taking a little break from The Set. ... Past month or so have checked out the couple full shows readily available without downloading and waiting for the tour to end before getting down on a top 3 list or something.
Looks like I'm gonna be rolling with 7/14, 7/10 & 7/5.
- Thanks again!

OHL

Agree...I got Thacker'd, Macon'd and Beacon'd (11/30) right out of pants. Those were my three that tour. The 19 Spring Tour didn't reach that fall to me...this little tour did however...at least the 3 we're discussing.

.... Speaking of "Thacker'd" - Don't know if you caught it in the 7/14 thread, but it twas reported that Mr. FalconDave was in attendence.
Can't be sure how accurate such a report is or could be, ... but enough to make a boy dream. .... Sugarplums, puppies & rainbows ;)

LoL, forgot about the "first recording" part of that.

... Also, the odds of someone knowing what FalconDave looks like?????

.....

Although I kinda sadly confess I do know what Mr. Charlie Miller looks like (sent a photo of him with hearts to a friend I send Dead archive recordings with as a joke). ... But, he's no, one recording hit wundah.

goodness no. Charlie has the resume. I'd say about 85% of my dead stuff is from him. The other % being Betty. Miller labored over those recordings...his remastering is top notch as well. I don't have any visual for Falcon...I make the visuals up for each taper over the years....good fun.

..... I'm going to choose to believe that FalconDave is Charlie Miller & vise versa.

& he was just stating it was his first Dylan recording without any Grateful Dead involvement ;)

no shit...I didn't catch that dead part...interesting. My Dylan buddies insisted when they heard Thacker that any first time taper wouldn't get that capture...wow...this space is getting hot.

Puppy dogs & rainbows my friend. ... Puppy dogs and rainbows.

.....

Whomever got captures of that last show on the 14th I hope it's good enough to do it justice. ... By all reports and YouTubed viewings twas a special one.

.....

I was fortunate enough to catch the last show of the Orpheum Boston run in 2005 and to this day am bummed out about none of the recordings living up to the affair.

... Fingahs crossed someone spent their time next to a speaker and far from the talkers!
