This made my day.

And also this: “If it does turn out to be an autumn release, that would dovetail nicely with unconfirmed expectations that the film will be coupled with a boxed set of unreleased material that would be part of the “Bootleg Series” that Sony Music puts out a new installment of every fall.”

This is terrific news, I'm incredibly excited. Let's hope it's really long and contains as much footage as possible. Hopefully an interview with Bob?!

I'm guessing a fall release to coincide with a BS release.

Wonderful news! I’m especially exited by the idea of it being a bit Renaldo as well.

Still hoping for a new album, though. Get back to work, Bobby!!

I hope that in any way " Renaldo & Clara " will be releaesd in full as well with bonus material.

They surely use parts of it in the docu I think.

A box set including CDs with material from this period, unreleased hopefully and one or two DVDs AND a book too.

I´m in for it.

I doubt the doc would be included as part of a bootleg series release. Netflix will want exclusivity for a year or two.

A great number of people on hERe discovered Bob through No Direction Home. I imagine that this will be an introduction to Dylan for a whole new generation of fans, which is a really exciting thought.

Nothing against a netflix streaming, if the doc will be available somewhere else too - f.e. on a dvd.
If it should be published exclusively on netflix, I hate this form of merchandising.
I don't want to subscribe to netflix!

I could be totally wrong, but as far as I'm aware, the recent Springsteen on Broadway Netflix release was Netflix only with an audio CD release. No DVD or Blu-ray. I'd imagine it'll be the same with Bob. Maybe a limited release as part of a big box.

But it doesn't matter, just subscribe for a free trial then cancel it. Netflix is great anyway.

If it will not be released official as DVD or even Blu Ray it will be released as Bootleg.

No Direction Home was originally released as a PBS broadcast. I'm sure this will get an eventual physical release if there's money to be had.

Fantastic!! Though, I have to disagree with this: ". . . Netflix’s description indicates the film will focus on the fall 1975 tour, when the loose ensemble was said to be at its ramshackle best, and not necessarily the spring 1976 follow-up, when different guests came aboard and reviews indicated the collective had lost some of its charm." A Scorsese shot of '75 needs a '76 chaser.

I can't wait for this!

The article mentions it being part doc, part concert, part fever-dream. SOLD!

Had a feeling it would be Netflix, i think i said I’d bet on it a few months back on here. The only other place this would go would be PBS or HBO and they don’t really have the clout that Netflix does anymore.

I look forward to it. I’d like a Blu-ray but these days I’d rather rent something for $2.99 than figure out where the disc is. If there are extras I’d certainly buy it. Look forward to a set of all the audio as well.
