Subject: Levon Helm and the Barn Burners From: CPyle2bob Date: 05 Mar 2000 11:55:09 GMT YYYYEEEEEHHHAAAW...caught me one HELL of a blues show up there in Woodstock NY last wednesday. Levon has left the old behind and this new group is all about the blues... nice and sizzling too. Garth was there on keyboard, and allowed Bernie?? from P-Funk to come up and join in for awhile during the second set. Levons daughter Amy also joins in during sets for a couple of songs, she is well on her way to becoming a great Blues Singer ;-)...(levon just beams when she's up there). there was alot of special moments watching these guys in a club so small...:-), like being able to talk with them, shake their hands. Levon was very open and friendly...it was a blast. if anyone is anywhere near Woodstock NY (i came up from Baltimore MD) the 10 buck show charge for seeing ledgends perform just can't be beat as a great price. And it's every Wednesday night 9pm. chris
