Keaton, Buster

Another big movie star who was a "little guy", and who
could well have been an inspiration for the young
Dylan. In the Charlie Chaplin film "Limelight" (1952),
Keaton is seen backstage putting on his stage make-up.
He applies a moustache, then inspects at himself in
the mirror, swivelling his head from side to side,
rolling his eyes a little, not unlike the moment at
the beginning of Dylan's satellite broadcast for the
2000 Academy Award ceremony, where he appeared with
the pencil-thin moustache.
